Good stylists

My 7 year old son has Autism and had been extremely relectant to have anyone touch his hair, let alone cut it. On our last attempt to get his hair cut a few weeks ago we visisted a Great Clips salon (not so great as it turns out), the stylist assigned to work with my son was informed before the cut that he was extremely anxious and struggles with sensory experiences. She was very dismissive of his anxiety and even rude, not fully understanding the high level of stress and anxiety he was under just to sit in her chair, which took about 5 minutes to accomplish. As she attempted to touch his hair consistently made unhelpful comments about his crying and ultimately gave him an ultimatium that he needed to make a decision either he let her cut the hair or he'd have to leave because people are waiting. Clearly we left feeling defeated and not having gotten a hair cut. My son felt like a failure and I can promise you that I will never returned there and spend one dime of my hard earned dollars in their salon again.

Fast forward two weeks later with some preperation, a social story about getting a hair cut and a quick visit to the Sports Clip Aurora salon prior to the scheduled cut a few days was helpful, the staff at your location were exceptional. My son's stylist Nickie was amazing, comforting, super patient and reassured he was comfortable and ok with transitions between tools of clipers to scissors. She allowed him to feel and hear the clippers before they touched his head. She made was fanominal and even while sitting in the chair my son was commenting that when his hair grows he will get it cut at Sports clip. Thank you so much for having staff hiring staff that are truly caring and compassionate toward the persons sittng in their chairs. My son super pleased with the service and successful in getting his hair cut. I will without a doubt will be returning and refering your salon to friends and family.

Olga is amazing..we would follow her anywhere. Everyone there is super friendly and professional. It started with a friendly greeting and ended with a hot towel and massage...what could be better. We are looking forward to sharing our refer a friend cards. Very pleased with our first visit at sport clips!!

The Products Sportclips sell are beyond amazing, personly I use Frenzy by Style sexy hair, which I absolutely love, My hair stylist Nikie showed this product me when sport clips first opend, and have been loving it since. I been a client of Nikie since the store opened, and no has ever done as a good of a job as her. Nikie is very friendly, taking the time to make conversation with her clients, I've never seen her without a smile, It truly makes the sports clips service memorable and always makes me come back. Also, Nikie by far gives the best fades!
