AmeriSpec was great to work with overall. The process of getting the pre and post retrofit audits was fast and efficient and Steve was really helpful answering our questions. I would probably give a 9 or 10 review however there has been a long delay in getting my post retrofit report and I can’t move on with the interest-free Canada Loan until it’s done meaning I’m paying interest on my line of credit waiting…

Cory is knowledgable and brings a calm presence to the inspection = clearly explains issues and how to rectify them....clients walk away from the inspection understanding their future home and what may be needed....no surprises.

2,3 weeks is too much time to prepare the report. We need to get it down to few days.

I understand the value of a home inspection report. Having an experienced and knowledgeable, unbiased professional, who is not emotionally involved in the purchase, generate a detailed report will help me to schedule a to do list of renovation and maintenance for when I move in. It’s also nice to know that there is much less chance of surprises popping up and having a second opinion to voice my concerns and get feedback from was worth the money alone. Inspector Myron Peek was very thorough with looking around the house. He went both inside and outside of my home. He also said that he didn't see any activity and that I had a concrete foundation which was better protection from termites. I feel that I may not notice any activity until it's too late. Also, there are certain things I still may not be aware of.

I just think that in the future there should be some preventive maintenance done. I have been fortunate not to ever have termites, but I would feel more comfortable knowing that something is in place if I may not notice a change in the foundation of the home. I think if something isn't put down annually, at least have some sort of chemical put down every 3 to 5 years. I think it has been over 5 years now since I've had any type of treatment; please verify this. Mr. Myron Peek stated that the company does treatment every 10 years, when it used to be every 7 years which I think is still way to long for any type of treatment. Also, within either 7- or 10-years, people may move or anything else could happen.

I would appreciate some treatment at my next annual inspection.
