Food quality and wine selection are excellent...my wife and I have never had a poorly prepared meal at your restaurant...ever!...and that's over the last 5+ years that we've been dining at La Tavola. Service is always professional, but not stuffy. We love the restaurant's size, open kitchen, welcoming bar and overall decor.
The food, of course - I like that there are daily specials that add new items to the menu on a regular basis, and that you change up the menu periodically to keep it fresh and new. I love your special menus and events like Tomatofest - and the other one with a name I can never remember. The staff is fantastic! With folks like Jen and Randall and Jill - when we walk in, it's like spending an evening with good friends.
I would add that I am not a fan of the new calamari dish with the potatoes - the old calamari with the cauliflower was perfection and the new dish is the only weak spot on the current menu…IMHO.
You name it we like it. Food, ambience, servers bending over backward to be accommodating and friendly. Everyone attempts to make you feel welcome and happy and genuinely seem to be concerned that everyone loves the food, drinks.
This is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. Besides the impeccable mushroom ragu, I love the ever changing menu, molto monday (albeit small portions), solid cocktails, ambiance, and service. I come here every year for my birthday and as often as I can in between, and highly recommend you to all my friends. The best.
