It's a great place to meet a wife. I met Carol Decker in 2007 when worked at the front desk. Her smile, friendly demeanor (and I admit, her incredible beauty) led me to ask her for a date. She accepted and with Jesus leading us, about a year later we married. In May of this year, we'll celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary, and although you may not believe it, but it's true none the less, we are still on our honeymoon. These past years have been the happiest years of my life, and I thank God for his presence in our relationship.
Side note: we both served on the Christian Emphasis Committee at Glenwood for quite a while under the leadership of Tammy Crawford and the support of Jim McElhenney (sp?).
I continue to attend Glenwood a couple times a week even though I'm no longer looking for a wife.

I participate in Silver Sneakers with Curtis Jones. Curtis makes the class fun and challenges each participant to work at his or her own level. He explains each exercise fully and makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable.

Curtis is the reason many of us keep coming back every week. The Y is lucky to have him! That class and the friendliness of the members and staff are what I most enjoy about the Y.

I enjoy swimming laps in the large pool at the Glenwood branch of the YMCA.

I am not a member. I go to the Y to watch my grandchildren play basketball.

I feel comfortable at the Y. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. The main reason I go is for Curtis’s seniors sneakers classes. I feel that they’re perfect for me at my age and Curtis always makes the classes so fun. I go with my sister so it gives us some quality time together.I also enjoy the other women who go. We always have a good time. I feel the Y is a great place for families where I’ve also have gone to many of my grandson’s basketball games and I do recommend the Y to my friends.

I love the variety of group classes offered to Y members. I am also taking the Prevent Diabetes Class and finding it very helpful. I always look forward to going to the Glenwood YMCA. Sherry L.

I do love the newer equipment. I have had a transition from Pennbriar, which I was there for 47 years. So it’s an adjustment for me.

Friendly staff, variety of equipment to use

I like the classes I take. Curtis Jones is the instructor for Silver Sneakers. He’s up lifting. He is so good at what he does. He’s enjoyable. Plus the YMCA offers so much more. It’s a great place to be.

Love love love Pat's 10:30 AM Tues yoga. It would be great if she would do another class. Love the resistance room. And also, the recumbent bikes. I may suggest that the bathroom downstairs be updated. Also,the yoga room is always at least 5°>10° cooler than the rest of the facility.
