Swam. Pool was nice and warm for the cold morning. Having a lifeguard there is always a plus for us swimmers that are getting younger. The shower water temp was a little warmer than it has been in the past so I didn’t have to take a somewhat tepid shower as I always have.
The arthritis, water aerobics. The teacher in the class is wonderful.
The facilities are always clean, the staff is always friendly, and the prices are so low compared to community gym memberships. I love the good work they do for the community and I’ve seen many a meal being handed out to a person with no home.
Everyone, of any age and level of activity benefit from sharing a mutual interest in healthy living.
The gym is clean and the equipment is new. I like that there’s very few people there when I go during the work day. It makes for a peaceful and fluid workout without waiting to use the equipment.
My Trainer is Sal. He is very experienced, personable and knowledgeable about fitness. He should be a perfect fit for anyone. He listens to his clients and easily customizes workouts. He is an asset to Capital Y. I am grateful to learn from him.
My daughter, who is also a member, Carmen Barney, kept wanting me to go the sauna at Capital Y. I kept saying maybe. She finally got me there last night. Talk about therapeutic!!!! I’m going to try to make it a 1 day a week. Wonderful experience. Thank you Y😍

Stress free clean gym with great amenities and friendly staff, Ana warm outdoor pool. The Wednesday Zumba instructor was so nice and introduced me to the other students.
I love how close it is to me. I don’t like how they took away half the classes I really enjoyed and replaced the same time slot with classes that you have to pay extra for. I will recommend it to friends and I really hope they continue to make it inclusive with more classes that are included with membership.
I love that the Y is so conveniently located and never too busy. It's the perfect gym experience!
Unlike Central YMCA, Capital YMCA keeps the rooms unlocked which is great for those of us who prefer to exercise alone. At Central YMCA, they lock the doors after group classes end. This prevents solo exercisers from being able to make use of the whole facility.

There is such a sense of community at the Y and I've made many new friends. I really appreciate the inclusivity of the Y - you meet people of all ages and from all socioeconomic groups. I love the SGT classes offered at the Capital Y - especially Pilates with Props and Dry Tri. They've been instrumental in reaching my fitness goals. I also enjoy Pilates Reformer with Tia. And last but not least, I truly appreciate how responsive the administration at the Capital Y is to member suggestions and feedback.

Please prioritize getting the hot tub working correctly we really enjoy the hot tub
overall it's enjoyable, but do you guys have a janitor that comes in, the sauna floor needs a mopping bad, and I need a job atm.
