Member Testimonials
This gym has new state of the art machines and free weights all in close proximity. It's very quiet and uncrowded so you can get a workout in a low stress environment. However, parking is limited, so you might have to park in a residential area and walk a few blocks.
I really enjoyed the introduction from Tia for the Pilates reformer classes. She’s great and I’m hoping to attend her classes as soon as my schedule changes.
I recommend it to all my friends who live locally.
The lap pool and Jacuzzi are great. Plenty of space for Basketball too.
The pickelball courts and other members are very fun and nice.
Hours of operation & price. And the staff are very friendly.
High quality equipment. Welcoming environment. I feel comfortable here.
Staff is very polite and friendly. The equipment is for the most part new and great quality. The building itself is old and some things need replacing or repairing but for just going for a workout it’s great.
Cleanliness and friendliness of staff.
Accommodating
The water classes
Sednima's Zumba toning class was fantastic! Beautiful facility, also.
The teachers are great, Miranda and Amy for yoga, Stefanie for mat Pilates and Lisa as a sub with Yogalates.
The lifeguards are wonderful. Pool is pretty and clean with good hours.
Housekeeping does a good job.
Other patrons are polite for the most part.
I can walk over from my apartment on P street.
Love the historic building and city vibe.
We just moved to Sacramento and one of our first recommendations was to check out the Y. We did and it’s been a huge plus in both getting exercise and meeting people.
The cleanliness, exercise equipment and how nice and quite it is in the mornings.
I truly enjoy my Arthritis Water Excerise Class, with Instructor Pat Wolfe.. She is a exceptional instructor...We have Awesome People in our Class. Love It..
I live near by so very convenient
A personal trainer provided one on one help to assess and develop a workout routine that fits my personal needs. Ryan was knowledgeable and professional.
I really like the high quality aerobic and weight machines.
The facility is centrally located, its clean and the staff is professional
What I like best about the Y is the feeling of community and the organization's commitment to the local community. I also enjoy opportunities to volunteer.
I appreciate the responsiveness of the administration to our request to ADD a Friday 7:00 AM Pilates Reformer class with Tia.
I see that a pickle ball focused pilates class with Stephanie has been added, which demonstrates there is still demand for more classes.
There is still demand for Tuesday and Thursday Pilates Reformer classes at 7:00 am with Tia! Some of the 7:00 AM "regulars" are currently going to other Pilates studios to meet this need. PLEASE ADD these two days to the schedule. If you add them, we will fill them!
I structure my days around the water aerobics classes and free swim. My life has changed since my health insurance covers my YMCA Membership. I wish I had had it sooner when I worked. As a widow, my life was small. A pool membership would have been grand.
I love the pool, learning new exercises and what they address. I love so many ladies to swim with kin the pool!
I love singing to music while I exercise. The hot shower is the best, and then my day is guilt free from then on.
I like how friendly the staff are .
The staff are welcoming, and helpful.
There are a great variety of fitness classes. I especially like Tia’s classes.
The Y is great and affordable!
I enjoy the relaxed nature of the facility and no loud music piping through the sound system.
The variety of workout classes they offer, always clean, updated equipment, swimming, basketball, pickleball.
I struggle feeling comfortable or welcome at most gyms—this YMCA is the exception. I love the community of kind caring people I frequent here and the warmth from every staff member.
