Service and gym
Penny at front desk is a gem and made registration a real pleasure. The facility is clean and staff very friendly and helpful.
The rec center is excellent and offers a great range of facilities. I especially appreciate the pickleball courts. However, I have a few suggestions for improvement:
1. The pickleball court availability calendar is confusing and could be made clearer and easier to understand.
2. Since pickleball is the most popular activity, it would be helpful to reserve at least two courts daily for general play.
3. The glass around the pickleball courts could be tinted to reduce glare, as the ball can sometimes be hard to see due to reflections.
Overall, a great facility with just a few opportunities to make the pickleball experience even better.
We Allen residents are lucky to have such a well managed and maintained facility for
Seniors. It is clean and offers a wide variety of things to do for all tastes.

My family and I enjoy the perks of membership including access to the playground, gym, and workout classes. I would love to see more Pilates options including earlier classes on weekdays and weekends.
i absolutely love my Pickleball classes with Coach Angie and Coach Chris at Joe Farmer rec center! They are amazing coaches and I have learned so much about stroke work and strategy in a short amount of time. They are so encouraging and at the same time they challenge us to handle fast volleys and be confident and strong on the court. The Joe Farmer facility is beautiful - built in a round, overlooking a pond and surrounded by grass and trees. The view from the yoga studio is so peaceful and lovely. And the indoor courts are below ground, which is really cool.
I have walked with friends for nearly 10 years.at Joe Farmer Rec Center. I have made many friends and enjoy the atmosphere.
Penny Males is the best at the front desk. Always a friendly smile, helpful and a joy to know.
