I live the seating and the staff is always friendly. I choose to drive the extra to go here rather than the brand new one for these reasons. I like the Momday and Tuesday price breaks as well.
No usher to check tickets or welcome guests. I spent $50 for two tickets, but could have EASILY just seen the movie free as there was NO staff presence on the lobby floor. Lobby was dark(?) and uninviting. Is Santikos saving money on staff AND electricity? Concessions staff was fast & friendly, per the usual. Napkin/straw/condiment station was stocked, if a little unkempt- not a problem and not out of the ordinary. The build-in trash area at the entrance of Auditorium 16 was filthy. Trash on floor, buckets' worth of popcorn on the counter where the actual can was hidden. It appeared to not have been cleaned for hours. Previews started 10-11 minutes late, and there was no pre-reel/Noovie- just quiet and dark. I love previews, but they should start at the showtime, not over ten minutes late. The actual screening of the movie was flawless and I genuinely enjoyed the movie itself. I stopped to perhaps grab a promo poster upon leaving, only to see there were none; strange for and "Imax Fan Event." My son laughed that I expected a poster, considering the state of the theatre.
I am saddened to see the current state of The Grand. We have been attending since opening day in 2007 or so, and my son has grown up visiting this theatre more times than I can count. I will continue to visit as it is only a mile away and is among my favorite things to do in PCB. However, please invest in enough staff to welcome guests, take tickets, and give directions. Please invest in enough staff to clean lobbies and auditorium, and to start movies on time. Please invest in whatever is needed to brighten(?) the lobbies and make Thee Grand more welcoming.
I truly would like to continue to enjoy visits to one of my favorite businesses in Pier Park.

My one complaint is in regard to the temperature. It was freezing in there and wish I had brought a blanket.
Ordered tickets online with my account which was very easy to set up. Clean facilities. A bit too cold for me and the seats are starting to get a bit tired but overall a great place to watch a movie. 🍿 was delicious

I really like the seats and the ability to choose and reserve your seats in advance. One thing that I should bring to your attention is the lack of preparedness of the concession stand. I wanted to get two pretzels and the girl behind the counter told me they didn't have any made and that she couldn't make any because there was a line of people behind me. Another girl overheard this and stepped in and told me she would make them for me but that it would take about 5 minutes. I told her that would be fine and thanked her, then stepped aside to wait for them to be made. As I stood there, I overheard the girl at the counter tell the next people in line that she couldn't sell them any hot dogs because they didn't have any made. This seems to be poor planning and execution of the very basic requirements of a concession stand.

Loved that my son could enjoy the long peir and a doon buggy wheelchair for free!
