I just started line dancing at the Y, because we found out Christi was teaching a new class there. She is amazing so uplifting, always cracking jokes, and just makes you feel great when you leave her class! We go to the senior center on Tuesday's where she also teaches line dancing! Great classes, nice environment
The fact that I can come and work out at anytime. But I try to hit the gym when fewer people are there which isn’t always easy. The website used to show a chart of the busiest times but not lately.
I had pneumonia in August and had to do physical therapy connected to UC Health but I’m coming back to the Y now and starting to work up to getting some of my former strength back.
FYI: my PT guy highly recommended the Y a way to continue my exercise and a way to work on equipment they didn’t have there.

Friendly, low-key atmosphere. I regularly use the pool for lap swimming, and it’s nice that it’s not over-crowded.
It would be nice if more upgraded resistance machines and free weights can be added over time.
The staff is very welcoming, the coffee and seating in the front lobby encourage members to congregate, get acquainted, and create a sense of belonging. The group class instructors not only are prepared to instruct, they also seek to learn the names, and about the lives, of their attendees Khris, and Meg Stevenson both have amazing energy and enthusiasm, generous with their time, and epitomize the YMCA mission statement. Meg has supported and participates in a weekly outdoor walking group in Longmont, formed primarily of folks from her cycling classes. Over a dozen people regularly walk - the Longmont YMCA is supporting the mental health and well being of its members, more than their physical fitness. The fitness equipment is kept in good working order and the maintenance staff keeps the facility clean and safe. In addition, I must applaud the YMCA for continuing to be active with Silver Sneakers - the Longmont YMCA demonstrates Christian ethics and integrity, respect for the worth of our senior citizens, sacrificing a little profitability for accountability.
I like the wide variety of equipment and classes. Recently a large share of the exercise equipment has been upgraded. The equipment is distributed throughout the exercise rooms in a comfortable and effective layout. My wife takes Pilates Reformer classes and enjoys the instructor and benefits from the organization of the skill levels that are available.The pool is well kept and consistently maintained at a comfortable temperature. I have had the opportunity to meet many nice people at this facility. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As soon as I enter the building I can feel the energy from the all activity going on. It gets me pumped!
It’s a gathering place for seniors. Exercising with friends. Great staff and consistently the same most of the time. It meets the needs of all ages.

The showers are warm after swimming laps...sometimes in the past they were very cold in the ladies shower at 10am on fridays.
Pickle Ball is available at noon with 3 courts ready for play. Not sure what days?
Lap swim on fridays is available at 9am.

Parking is never an issue, and really convenient providing two entrances.
