Workout equipment is great.
I love working with my personal trainer, Marianne Arcieri. She adapts every session, with special sensitivity for my vertigo and lower back pain. I also appreciate that she challenges me to push as hard as I can while always being encouraging as we work towards achieving my goals of better balance, strength, and resilience. I am so grateful.
I also love that the JCC fitness and front desk staff are so friendly and welcoming.
The various offerings. Exercise availability...
It gives me a place to go & a sense of community
Friendly staff and members
I use the JCC almost only as my gym -- and it's a great gym for my needs. That said, I know that the JCC offers much, much more than athletic facilities, but my life is full enough that I hardly ever take advantage of them. The building and the vibe are very pleasant, and that adds to my experience when I'm in the building.
All the basics are excellent - the equipment, cleanliness, staff, etc., but what’s special for me is seeing families and children having so much fun. And making so much noise! They bring a smile to my face.
Been a member a looonnng time. Liked:
Pool and Jewish activities for my children
Pool and Jewish camp for my grandchildren
Multi swims per week indoors before work for me

The variety exercise classes
Love having kosher Andrew’s . The exercise classes are varied and the teachers are terrific. Love the drop in canasta and mah Jong .
Facility is excellent and classes are terrific. Well worth the membership fee.
Has everything, quality equipment and classes, operates at a high level and communicates effectively.
It is too early to judge altho my introductory session with nick K was excellent, and I cannot wait to have my three classes with him. I was already charged for this class, so I have only two more,
at the place is clean spacious friendly organized, & I like it.
Great staff and nice people. A beautiful facility!
The feeling of community. Impeccably clean facility. Friendly staff. Lots of options for all
It’s nice place to go and exercise
There’s a great variety of classes, both exercise and art. Also, the teachers are very good.
I feel a sense of community at the JCC that’s unusual in a regular gym.
Friendly front staff with warm greetings. Super clean. Great equipment. Helpful
It's a great community and I love the indoor and outdoor pools! Also, children's programming is wonderful!
Good selection of classes and times and good instructors.
I appreciate the warmth and feeling of inclusion in a top rate fitness environment. The facility is impeccable. As I age, it is a beautiful thing to see children of all ages on a daily basis. The classes are excellent and programs are offered to stimulate community.
Beautiful, clean facilities. Great class instructors. Lovely pool and locker rooms. Wide range of classes and drop in events. Friendly, professional staff
The staff is always friendly and helpful. My kid loves playing basketball there. Terry helps us lower the basketball hoop so it's at his level. She is just so kind. I use the weight room and find it to be well equipped and clean at all times. We love that it's a family oriented gym.
I love the family open swim hours. The water could be warmer though, especially for infants and toddlers (maybe 88F or more)? There are many elderly swimmers. I wonder if they would like it warmer too?
I appreciate the infant, toddler, and kids play area and the childcare from 8:30-noon (although I haven’t used it). My husband and I like how we’re able to bring our 3-year-old to the basketball court and we could run around during court hours. Our little one gets plenty of movement in.
The trash barrels can be better on the bottom floor where the locker rooms are. Manually opening trash receptacles can be unsanitary so they should be motion detectable to open or have them be completely open. The trash container in the family changing and shower areas should be bigger and not so close to the paper towel dispenser. Sanitary concern since throwing trash in can contaminate the clean papers, especially if throwing in tampons or blowing nose tissues from cold/flu.
I really appreciate the room near the entrance for baby diaper changing and mother pumping room with the sink to wash hands.
The staff is always positive and supportive.
Awesome group fitness classes.
I’m there just about every day at the Men’s Health Center. My primary interests are the gym and the indoor pool. They’re both high-quality and serve my needs. I’m concerned that the pool may become more crowded given additional housing and last year’s closure of a public pool in Wellesley. I would be concerned if they’re needed to be 3 swimmers per lane on a more frequent basis. The men’s health center is friendly, I enjoy there being a brunch on Sundays. The manager, Brian, does a nice job. My only albeit small complaint is that the coffee maker in the men’s health center makes the cheapest coffee in the marketplace so I don’t use it.
