I have two grandsons in the aquatics program. For the most part, I am very satisficed with how the different levels are implemented. However, I have been concerned at times with the consistency of how things are operated. I have had two instances when most of the kids did not show up for the class. One time they instructor moved my grandson to the next level class which he wasn't prepared to do. The second time, the instructor turned the entire class time into a playtime. The purpose of going to the classes is to learn and improve their swimming capabilities. The times could have been spent working one-on-one with the children to work on some of their deficiencies. I have one grandson that was recommended by his instructor to take the swimming test to get his green band. The test was actually performed by Hailey who was one of the head lifeguard. She indicated he pasted the test but it was never entered in the system which meant he could not get a green band for the summer. When he resumed his Fall swimming lessons, the new instructor indicated he was not ready to get the green band. Due to a lack of consistency in policies and communication, my grandson was completely disappointed. One of my grandsons is in level 5. His current instructor is unset because my grandson and some of the other kids had not been introduced to some of the other swimming strokes which should have been done in previous levels. I understand it is difficult to run a program of this magnitude especially being shorthanded with lifeguards and instructors. However, I do think there should be some general rules or standards on how situations should be handled to promote continuity especially if there is any risk of disappointing or misleading any of the kids.
Everyone and everything
I am impressed with the level of care that is shown to each of the kids in the group. The instructors are genuinely interested in the progress of our children.
Great class for our family. Teachers are very friendly
The small class size and the instructors have been great.
Enjoyed the workout while re-connecting with members and staff I worked with during my time at Jorgensen. Staff was friendly when I came in and throughout my time there.
Great!
locker rooms (men) are usually clean. The facilities:
Small weight room: usually clean and "picked up." I believe the machines need better
maintenance (lubrication and places for extra parts straightened up)
Large weight/work out room: no opinion as I do not use it
(2) work out/yoga/exercise rooms: good shape and well maintained. Larger room has quite a
few black marks on the floor that could be "rubbed/cleaned" off.
Gymnasium: good
Pools: I do not use
Upstairs track: excellent
Upstairs work out area: very good. Would like to see a place where a person could do
chair/yoga and this would be a good area, but would need 5 or 6 chairs placed up there
and suggest a sign that states the chairs are for exercise and not to deposit clothing.
I believe we could use another workout/yoga/exercise room
Polite, family oriented facility, clean and safe place to exercise!
I love the silver sneakers class with Cindy and the aqua Zumba classes I take.
I love the synergy class!

Friendly staff.
The E-gym is amazing. Wish there were more machines.
I can go with my family: spouse and children. There’s something for each of us. And it is close to my home and our children’s schools.
Great staff!
Would like more security and working cameras due to recent vehicle break-ins
I love all the group exercise classes in the mornings. I love Beginner Pickleball. Most everyone has been supportive and encouraging since I’ve been coming.
Clean. Courteous staff. Great classes and equipment.
The Jorgensen YMCA has an amazing childcare watch program with lots of toys and sunshine streaming in. My kids also love their indoor playground. We love their indoor track and their outdoor pool area.
