The renovations of the free weights area has brought me back to Kerr YMCA. There are plenty of dumbbells and it seems that the space is better utilized.
The workout floor used to be cramped and it was hard to get to the weights. There are plenty of workout benches which is a plus.
I wish there were some easy curl bars but you can't have everything.

I love how welcoming all the staff are. The pools are great to use and very well kept up. The gym equipment is well maintained with plenty of staff nearby to help with any questions or situations. Plenty of classes as well if you feel that suits better. Overall a great place to go for a workout, playing basketball with friends or use the indoor or outdoor pools.
Love the water classes but wish they would add new type classes like other ymcas have such as water yoga, water fusion, etc
Love the facility. Love the staff. The staff member who runs the pickleball should enforce the adult open play pickleball on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for adults only.
I love that pool! I've been to a number of the pools at the y in the triangle and it feels the best, has chill lifeguards, and is large. also, all the workers are friendly at this y

I've really enjoyed coming to the Y—it's a welcoming place with a great mix of friendly staff and members. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and it’s been a great routine to share with my wife. We both appreciate the positive atmosphere.

Love the Kerr Y so much! My daughter is obsessed with KidsZone and is a huge fan of Ms. Donna. All of the ladies there are so, so sweet and I very much appreciate being able to drop her off for a couple hours knowing that she is safe and loved.
Something I wanted to bring to your attention - I had mentioned it several months ago to someone at the front desk but in the womens sauna there is a nail sticking up out of the bench. They assured me they'd go handle it right then but I was sitting in there last week and the same nail was still sticking out - it snagged my leg as I got up from the bench. It would take 5 seconds and a hammer to fix! It's on the far left side of the bench against the back wall as you stand at the door, right at the front of the bench where the back of your knee would be if you were sitting on the bench.
Also, I think this has been addressed because I haven't seen him in a bit, but for a while there was a man who would workout in the gym (using the sled and dumbbells) during pickleball hours and from what I overheard, he was given permission to do so by one of the directors. I don't want to beat a dead horse because I'm sure you got plenty of complaints about this already so hopefully it's been resolved and it won't continue to happen.

I came from high expensive swimming school, to the YMCA for my children and got so much more than swimming. My kids absolutely love it. They love all the activities - the daycare centers, the gym, swimming… They absolutely love it. The staff is very hospitable and friendly. There's so many options for children and kids and I absolutely love the variety and locations.
The facility, especial pool, is beautiful. Also very friendly staff.
I traveled east on hwy 98 to reach this Y early in the morning, and was pleasantly surprised by the lack of traffic in that direction! I also appreciated the support I received as a new pickleball player.
