My daughter LOVES the YMCA Afterschool! It has helped her grow socially and emotionally. I am thankful for all the counselors, and for how well my daughter is treated in their care.
The staff has been nothing short of amazing with my daughter, even with all the behavior issues we've gone through after her ADHD/ Autism diagnosis.

I have been complaining about how dirty the group fitness room was, so I was happy to see the baseboard got a fresh coat of paint. I would challenge the staff at Hope Valley to keep the room clean. Some classes like step on Saturday morning brings in a lot of dirt from sneakers. The yoga class that follows has to deal with that. I like the facility, but Coco needs to find a way to get the staff motivated to clean and keep it looking good.

This YMCA is a convenient location in SW Durham. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. The fitness classes are excellent and Laurie is a favorite instructor! Availability of fitness equipment is good.
