outdoor pool was great.
The Hope Valley YMCA is a beautiful and clean place to have an amazing workout! Additionally, the staff is extremely friendly and professional. Finally, the swimming pool is amazing and the ambiance is so invigorating!
I pick up a happy child every day.
I joined for the outdoor pool. It's beautiful there and the staff is very nice. I intend to look into classes and the indoor pool at the downtown center in the winter. Thank you!
I love how active they are throughout the day.
Very friendly atmosphere. I've been going for Ellie's class, but it always gives me a chance to see the child car staff interact with parents & kids at pick up time. The staff are warm & energetic & the kids clearly feel at home there. Looking forward to trying the pool.
The only drawback is the small size of the facility, especially for group exercise, but that's probably an asset for the child care program, allows for strong relationships between staff & kids.
My child seemed to have a really great time, we appreciated the extended hours for all campers. One thing I would like is more communication from the counselors/staff. A welcome to camp, here’s what to bring + this is how pickup/drop off work would be nice along with an update on their swim assessment. My 1st grader isn’t a reliable source of information. Anyways, thanks for a fun week!
Tennis!
Had fun at pool 😃
Well maintained and lively outdoor pool experience
All of the pool staff are always friendly and ready to assist,
Love that the kids get swim time and lots of outside time. They have made some great new friends and have felt comfortable in the environment. It also feels like the counselors and life guards are very safe about the pool.
Although the other camp my son attended this summer cost almost twice of the YMCA, I was surprised at how much happier he was here. I asked him what the difference was and he said that he had more ways to get his energy out at the YMCA camp. With the best hour offerings without an additional charge combined with well trained staff who actually play with the kids and endless activities for them to do including pool time daily, I cannot imagine a better setting for my son with ADHD.
Love the tennis courts!!! Love Saturday cardio tennis class, have made so many new friends on the courts!!!
My rising kindergartener consistently came home tired and happy each day. She loved getting to have swim time and spoke highly of her counselors. The flexibility of hours was great for our family, communication was great, and everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be signing up again!
My daughter loves YMCA camp, she is always excited about going and is the first one to fall asleep at night.
The yoga programs!
This has only been the first week of camp for Reid this year. You all have made him feel welcomed and he feels included.
Thank you for making this a great experience
Our daughter has enjoyed everyday at camp this week. That’s very important to us that she likes her day and tries new things. The staff are great, friendly and helpful on communication to get your child to you if you do early pick up. Also normal pick up is smooth as well with their car line.
Te outdoor spaces are great. Unfortunately, the gym is small.
I like that there's a lot of counselors to manage so many kids, they're all very friendly & respectful. My son has had a few behavioral issues and I think they were handled very well. I spoke with a few different counselors because of this and they always seem to have been able to handle him and only gotten me involved when things got a bit too much. Even if they didn't call me , they let me know what happened when I pick him up. He seems to love going there, he's always ready to go early morning and gets upset if I pick him up early. There's plenty of activities and games to have them engaged all day long.
Have nothing but great things to say about this camp
My child loves coming to camp.
The pool is beautiful, and the lifeguards were really friendly.
We love the YMCA. From working out into the gym is to the different programs that they offer
My daughter loves the Y! She has so much fun with peers, as well as the counselors. Her experience at the Y has helped her grow emotionally, which is a big accomplishment considering she is special needs.
First, I started at the Hope Valley YMCA location due to its proximity to my house. It was within walking distance since I lived in that neighborhood. Now it is a short driving distance.
Secondly, it is clean and orderly and has a friendly atmosphere, with a helpful receptionist always at the desk.
It offers yoga and strength-training group classes which I have been taking for several years under knowledgeable instructors.
Indoor Exercise machines, outdoor Tennis, and Swimming are easily available as a member.
Ample parking spaces are a big advantage for members.
The hours and variety of activities. Love that the kids get to swim every day!
Swim lanes, nice clientele, nice bathroom facilities and friendly staff.
The staff, activities, price, and hours!

David has had such a great time the last two summers and has really enjoyed his experience, especially all the outside play time. The counselors are all so warm and helpful (shout out to Serena!), really good at pulling my shy kid out of his shell.
