Friendliness of people and staff. THE COFFEE MACHINE, this brings people together.
Only gripe is the machines are too close together and I can't maneuver to get to other equipment. Not handicap friendly.

We joined the Finley Y in January of this year. We have both been very pleased with our experiences at the Y. The staff are always so very friendly and helpful. We appreciate the cleanliness and atmosphere at "our" Y.
The instructors for any classes we engage in are terrific.
Yes, there have been some facility issues this year, but I believe these are unavoidable with any facility that is being used by so very many folks, for so very many activities. Management addresses these problems as promptly as possible.
Thank you for all you do to promote such a wonderful community atmosphere at the Finley Y.

I love the structured classes. It also brings me great joy to workout to music with instructors who engage with their attendees. In addition, seeing familiar faces help with my social interaction since I work from home.
It would be even better if I took the extra time to enjoy the facilities of the steam and sauna rooms.
One note to mention is that, FEW instructors do not take the time to acknowledge new students. They need to do so and in classes where weights are included, they need to give some kind of guidance. If you are brand new, you have absolutely no idea where to start.. this is where instructors come in.
I would also like to get a tour of the weight room and know how to properly use the machines. Maybe a tour once a month offered at different times?
i like that the kidszone opens at 4pm which allows families enough time to come in to the y before dinner. will you go back to opening on friday evenings?
It's a gym where I feel welcome and comfortable. Have been to many others where the environment is too rigid. Great staff, awesome instructors - in class, doesn't matter what kind of day I'm having, as long as I bring my best I have fun!

There is energy and a sense of community.
Every person we’ve encountered has been incredibly professional - my child does summer camp, youth sports and swimming. He is continually coming in contact with great role models. They know him and greet him by name (the summer counselor who’s now a soccer referee, for example). I also really appreciate the Y’s mission. Every time I use the gym or pool myself it’s always clean and tidy and employees are helpful.
