I love the location so much. It’s a joy to work out in this location. The one thing I could ask for to be considered is offering more Body Pump and Attack and Combat courses throughout the week. I enjoy these classes but they were often offered at times that didn’t work. I’m hoping you can offer more options lastly is there anyway we could do the combat and attack classes in the Cage as an option when weather permits? These classes don’t have any weights required for them and could easily be offered in the cage. At the top of American Tobacco. I know several people mentioned this who regularly attend combat. Joyce could teach it! She is amazing
The walking class and the stretch class help me during my days at work. They energize me, and they're a great break from sitting at a desk!
Pilates with Crystal is the best class the ymca offers! She’s an incredible instructor and I’ve learned so much about proper form from her. I like the cleanliness of the facility and the layout of the group fitness studio. It’s also a great location close walking distance from places to eat and steps from the Tobacco Trail.
It’s an easy walk from home and it’s not over-crowded - very clean, very friendly staff. The space is in an historic building and the high ceilings make it feel spacious and relaxing. I don’t swim, so it has everything I need. I like the size and it’s well-maintained.
Never crowed, friendly staff, clean, convenient.
I am constantly recommending the y as it offers a huge variety of classes and so many different venues. My one issue is that the hope vaa as ley pool is not open to members for most of the year which is incredibly frustrating for those that want to do laps and swim out doors. Why not open it to the membership and not just to the swim club youth. Seems very unfair.
It’s clean and you are greeted with a smile.he is always pleasant friendly and make you feel welcome
As a female, I greatly appreciate the layout of the AT gym. Because it’s quiet and small, I don’t feel intimidated or that there’s a big “macho” culture here. Also, having done a metabolic fit class, I feel comfortable using the queenax area and enjoy the diverse options.
It's not crowed, has all the equipment needed for a comprehensive workout (free weights, cardio machines, and weight machines), and it's super clean.
So convenient!!! Friendly staff and I really like the expanded hours.
Cleanliness of the gym and the wonderful staff
It always seems clean and calm. I like that it's smaller than downtown and Lakewood. Feels more like a clubhouse! And the employees are super nice and helpful!
Great instructor (Laurie Register). Great classmates. Great support staff.
Excellent location and friendly, professional staff.
I love the American Tobacco Y! It is within walking distance of my home which motivates me to go. The staff is amazing! So kind and warm. The scale of the environment makes me feel that it’s my own personal space!
The classes are fantastic; specifically, Laurie Register’s classes. She is the first person who has gotten this 70 year old couch potato to actually work out consistently for over a year! She is kind but firm and encouraging. She makes doing difficult work fun and I feel an amazing sense of accomplishment with her.
I just learned that this Y is not on the Silver Sneakers list which makes me sad because we recently changed our health care insurance but I will never leave the Y and will pay out of pocket because I enjoy and have benefited from my membership so much.
The staff is very friendly and the facility is not crowded.
This facility has nice equipment and variety of different machines, free weights, etc. There's a huge gym space with additional weights and equipment. It's not crowded. There's mostly adults as there's no Y teams practicing at this facility. The YMCA staff are super nice and welcoming. I love going there - after going to a lot of the other Y locations - this one is the BEST! The location is beautiful at the complex below the waterfalls too.
Great facilities, never jam packed, friendly staff, clean and contemporary locker rooms
Location location location
It’s the only location I go to because it’s clean and not overcrowded to like the others. The classes at the other locations have way too many people in them to have space/room to exercise. And it’s impossible to use the equipment without waiting in line forever or rearranging my whole workout to accommodate the over crowding. Sometimes this happens at AT, as well, but it’s less of an issue.
I don’t like the Friday hours however.
Talayla is amazing and motivating! The receptionist was super-friendly, too.
Love the facilities and the classes. The locker room is always clean, tidy, and well stocked. The group exercise room is clean and comfortable for yoga classes.
Great staff and plenty of equipment.
great YMCA, convenient to my work location, 2 minute walk downstairs. can't understand why everyone doesn't use it. Clean facility, never crowded, friendly staff, showers, lockers.
Great location near work and residences for people who live near downtown. Great facilities with a beautiful view of a waterfall from the American Tobacco Campus. Class Instructors are welcoming and knowledgeable.
There are never enough weights in the group fitness classes.
Clean, friendly and quiet
I visited for the first time recently and was impressed by how modern and clean the facility is. I have to say that Shanta at the front desk was my favorite part of the visit. She was warm, welcoming, and fun to chat with and made me feel comfortable right away!
