Member Testimonials
Family friendly, great staff, and well behaved young and old people. Also everyone is dressed appropriately (men and women). PF is a strip club. LOL
Facility has an abundance of workout equipment and exercise classes. Facility is also clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful as is the entire YMCA community.
I love that people don't sit on machines on their phone for extended times, thanks for monitoring that (it's a huge issue at the Holly Springs/Apex location)
Convenience of the location, variety of classes, well maintained.
Great staff at front desk.
This is my favorite YMCA in the triangle. The people that work there and the members are friendly. I really appreciate the diversity (age groups and ethnicities). The kid come for my toddler is amazing as well. He loves it.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Facilities are excellent.
I like the Thrive classes. I also like the diversity and helpfulness of members and staff. Sitting in the lobby with the large class windows feels welcoming especially when the sun is coming through the windows.
The cleanest of the facilities. The staff is polite and friendly. It’s never too crowded.
Classes, community, staff, all around positivity!

Convenience and all the workout options available
Alexander YMCA provides classes by high quality instructors (Cheryl, Melissa, Mark, Mary, Allison, Emily, etc.). I have always worked out almost every day with weights, walking, bicycling or swimming. However, I feel that the benefits of classes at the Y have improved my health as well as my spirits. The socialization, balance exercises, weights, aerobics, track, pool are especially beneficial to older adults like myself.
Space in classes is competitive so adding classes would be optimal. Morning classes work best for most older adults.
Thank you for asking for input from members.
The professionalism and brightness of the staff. The overall quality of the classes. The cleanliness of the facilities. I’ve simply had a great experience at this Y.
Inviting space, great equipment and classes, knowledgeable and skilled instructors, kind and welcoming staff. Great deal for the $. Thanks you.
Friendly staff, good member camaraderie
Front Desk staff. Camp Blazing Trails was excellent. The counselors paid close attention to our son and his friend. Sadly, Sports Camp at Southeast was truly poor. My love for the Y really took a bit of a hit with the multi-level lack of care and effort at that camp.
I also appreciate the abundance of workout space for a variety of workout types at Alexander.
I do wish the Y had small smoothies available for purchase.
The childcare at Alexander is excellent 98% of the time. Occasionally (rarely, but occasionally) the staff doesn’t really pay attention or learn the kids’ names.
Two convenient gym locations close to me. Variety of classes. Easy on-line scheduling app. Friendly people (especially the front desk and downstairs desk staff)! Membership fee is covered as perk with my Medicare Advantage program!!
I love it! It’s my form of emotional therapy just being able to get to work out at my age!!
Friendly staff, good teachers
It's very clean. Staff is friendly.
I do love the Y. Nice all. A lovely place in a big town. And very friendly.

I enjoy the vibe and atmosphere at the YMCA. You always feel like you belong. No one is trying to outdo you on the fitness floor or in a class. Everyone is working at their own level. There is a lot of encouragement from fellow members and especially the staff.
Great staff, great equipment, great hours! What’s not to love.
Love it! Lots of things to do
I enjoyed the gentle hatha class and the ambiance in the room.

The friendliness and professionalism of the staff.
