Plenty of exercise equipment and services
I love the facilities at the Market Street YMCA in Wilmington North Carolina. I am 63 years old now and I've been going to the same YMCA off and on for the last 53 years walking there everyday as a kid. And I love to steam away my troubles in the steam room and feel them float away in the pool.

This program is such a wonderful value! The instructors are so patient and knowledgeable, and truly instill confidence and a love of swimming. The cost is very reasonable!
We've really enjoyed the private lessons with Coach Lindsey. Our girls have gained confidence and are excited every single lesson.
The instructors worked well with my 4year old who has a hard time paying attention and listening. after over a year of lessons, we truly fell in love with Matthew (a great instructor)!
My kiddo really enjoyed the swim instructors. Great class time selection and small class sizes. Big plus, the time length is just enough to keep a little one’s interest! She’s learning to swim!!
Friendly staff, nice lap pool, good variety of work out machines
We love the teachers for our daughter's swim class. They are patient and great at handling the classes full of kids. Classes are always on time and run efficiently.
I love the instructors!!! The pool is always clean and it’s a real sense of family there. I have taken swim, aqua Zumba and aerobics at the Y. Great experience.

WE HAVE OWNED OUR HOUSE FOR 26 YEARS. WE HAVE COME AND GONE FOR YEARS AND ALWAYS BEEN PLEASED WITH THE NIR FAMILY YMCA. WE COULD WISH FOR ANOTHER SWIMMING POOL, THE CRUSH IS ALWAYS ON ! IDEALLY IT WOULD BE A YEAR ROUND POOL THAT COULD ALLOW BOTH INDOOR AND OUT SWIMMING. THIS IS COMMON IN Europe. Your staff is excellent. It is welcoming, skilled and encouraging..

The facility is spectacular with so much to offer. I especially love the pools, always so clean with beautiful light from the outdoors. Very clean, spacious and well-managed locker rooms. The staff is always friendly and professional. Plenty of parking. Enormous child care facilities with all the play structures and toys and staffing.

I like the water aerobics classes although as a returning member, I am having difficulty accessing the full schedule and I guess the sign-up is still signing up 24 hours before the class. I am hopeful that I am able to attend at least one or two of the evening classes in a morning class on Fridays
I would like to thank my cousin Barbara Miller for getting me reacquainted with the Y I lost the bar last year September 2024, so I had stopped attending because walking into the building without her was just too heavy for me to bear, but I am now stronger and feel ready to return back as it is necessary for my health thank you YMCA staff for all that you do to provide a safe clean and healthy environment for the community to enjoy
