The staff, the variety of classes fr all ability levels, the cleanliness.
I swim laps at the pool 3-4 times a week. Usually not too crowded. My only complaint is that the water is often rather cool. It takes a couple of laps to warm up.
FAMILY LOCKER SHOWERS WITH SEATS (I AM IN A WHEEL CHAIR). NEW HOT TUB. WHAT I DO NOT LIKE IS THE LAZY SLOBS WHO ARE NOT HANDICAPPED WHO FILL ALL THE SPACES. THEY GET OUT OF A GIANT TRUCK, CARRYING A HUGE KNAPSACK AND WILL RUN ON THE TREADMILL BUT WON'T WALK FIFTY FEET IN THE PARKING LOT!!

This was my first time visiting the NIr YMC. First, I want to say thank you for the Pathways scholarship. I am so grateful. My entire experience so far has been wonderful.
Exceptional staff and programs contribute to a very experience each time I walk into a facility.
I’ve been a member for several years and it’s a great place to take classes eg weight bearing and cardio classes for seniors. There are challenging classes above the senior
level which you can individually adjust to at your own level. Additionally, I have enjoyed meeting people and engaging in nice conversations.
The maintenance team are usually on top of maintaining a clean facility and you see them around hard at work all the time.
I find the staff and instructors friendly, engaging and very professional. They provide a nice choice of classes for every level; however, during peak eg vacation season there have been classes which were cancelled and could not be filled. It’s disappointing however you can find other challenges during those times. I usually do the treadmill and individual weight bearing exercises. I also features of trips and events.

I love the group exercise classes!
But I miss the Friday 8:30 Total Body Fit. Bring it back please!

The service
There are many things I like about the NIR YMCA. First, they have so many class options. No matter what your activity level or interest they have a class to suit that desire/need. I also appreciate the class schedules- there are many offerings throughout the day. Then there is the facility itself. This Y has a high standard of cleanliness. The women's locker room is spacious and always clean. I also appreciate having the option of the steam room, sauna and showers. The cost of having a Y membership is so affordable - no matter your income level. I also appreciate the diversity of members and the friendliness of the staff and instructors.

:The water aerobics classes. I attend the 9:15 class with Will five days a week. I appreciate how he gives advice for an alternative move when you are unable to do a particular exercise. He’s also very friendly and he puts a lot of levity into the class. In my opinion, he is an excellent water aerobics instructor.
