Our family moved to the area 5 years ago and when we started going to the Y last year, we felt like family. The child care ladies are fantastic with the kids and know just what to do to calm my 1yo when she doesn't want us to leave. It's wonderful being able to leave the kids in such good hands, while I get a good work out in. Also my kiddos LOVE the swim instructor, Kristy. She does such a wonderful job and we cannot believe the progress we have seen

I started when i was 17 i found it to be a place i love having found my wife their being the Jackson YMCA to the Shalmo Y i love them all.
Thank you to the Schalmo staff, Aquatics Director, Water Aerobics Instructors and everyone that has been so supportive of members of my class that have recently moved to Schalmo Y. They really feel like they have a new Y home! So grateful for all the support!

It's a nice YMCA
People are super friendly. Lots of different things to do.
The front desk staff and Lifeguard (Justin) were very friendly. Locker run was brightly lit and clean. Showers were clean and water was hot, which isn’t routinely the case at other Ys.
We were greeted nicely by the associate at the desk. The instructor for the class was knowledgeable.
It’s a great friendly place! Enjoy all the classes. Wish they’d add a few more evenings water classes or chair yoga ones.
Although if the Schalmo YMCA receives too many recommendations, it will be overrun with new members due to great facility and staff :)

VERY clean! I was really impressed by how clean everything, especially the locker room was but really everywhere was clean and picked up. The staff where really friendly when I entered the building.
I like the fact it is close to home and the programs offered.
Although we don’t use all the amenities the Y offers we do like attending the total body fitness classes. Just wished a third day was offered. The facility is always clean and fresh.

Friendly staff. It is a small facility but has everything you would need. The environment is uplifting and the facility is clean and bright. A puzzle is always available in the lobby. The YMCA is involved in a variety of community events and provides events at its facility for the community. It is a great asset for the community.

The Schalmo Y is a very clean facility. I use the pool a few times a week. The pool and locker rooms are excellent. The staff are all friendly and professional.
