It started at the desk, the entrance. Two wonderful ladies signed me up and I felt like this was home. Then these ladies introduced me to Hope. She is one amazing lady! She showed me around the club. I noticed she limped a little, and I noticed her constant warm smile. As we chatted we found we had the same Father. Our Heavenly Father! Oh, how precious this was to me.
I am 80 years old, 100% disabled. I have Parkinson’s and hearing loss. I was in Vietnam and they say Agent Orange. US Army, Military Police. Four years in Germany!
Oh, about the YMCA! It is clean. Everyone I have met, the staff and those who come for the work outs are friendly. Some are handicapped, Some are young, some are old and it seems we all have something in common.....fellowship and a desire to stay or get healthy.
I love Meyers Lake YMCA!
