Staff- Professional & Friendly
What i love about the Bremerton y is the staff and how welcoming they all are. A few of my fav people are there like Rudy, Leah, Sam, Danica. I also understand that everyone is not gonna be happy about changes, but the communication during the remodel was horrible. They took out alot of good stuff that people used alot even got rid of attachments which I def didn't understand that part. No decline, no preacher curl bench anymore. Was told a false story about a weight bench that wasn't true, I would of respected the fact that just couldn't keep it instead of being told a lie lol. One more thing is they talk about having not a whole lot of room in the weight room why is there a office in the weight room why couldn't they use that for more equipment? No where else has a office in the weight room. I'm really big on communication and I think at least getting people inputs are at least the people who frequently use the weight room opinions just to see because on one hand it's for the members rite, but on the other hand it's not. I do appreciate some of the new stuff. I have been coming here for some time now maybe like 13 years are so and may think silverdale may be my go to. I'm one person and I understand I am not gonna make that much of a difference just thought I'd give my opinion.
I have been a member of the Brem. Family Y for years.
I am always welcomed as I enter and often hear "have a nice night' as I leave.
The instructors are kind, well trained in their class offerings and try to make everyone feel welcome and at home.
I appreciate the Y and the services that it offers families and kids in our community.
The only thing I have ever been unhappy about is when they required us to have a photo on file when we checked in with our Y card. I asked that it would not be used without my authorization any any advertising in the Y itself or else where and that no photos taken in classes would be done without members consent. I was told it would not and I allowed my photo to be taken and then I was required to sign my name.
After I signed my name I continued to read through the document and [in fact] it did say the Y could use my photo without my consent.
Friendliest place ever. Love classes offered. Really meets my needs.
Nice people.
Clean, well equipped, helpful friendly staff.
Competent, friendly staff, clean, calm dressing rooms, ease of checking in, ability to swim, take yoga classes, lift weights or walk the track. General happy feeling in the building. It feels like folks are getting their needs met and I know my needs are capably met.
Group exercise classes! Teachers, variety of class offerings and times.
Supportive and welcoming atmosphere. Classes scheduled at convenient times.
We're new to Bremerton, my sons (ages 15 and 21) and I, and so to the Y here as well, but we've been made to feel very welcome and are enjoying your classes and facilities.
I like running the track
Flexible hours. Can attend without joining a class.
I love the community feel. It doesn’t matter if it’s been a day or a season, I always feel like part of the “Y family” when I am there. It doesn’t feel like a stuck up gym where you have to have defined abs to go. They accept and show kindness (that I have seen) to all people regardless of differences and I love that.
CJ gave me a tour. He was so professional and knowledgeable. He treated me with respect and kindness. I am new to Kitsap country and did not have a positive experience at Silverdale ymca. Joined crunch in Silverdale and it was gross. Came here even with a crunch membership. Looked into Aqua hitt and barre. Great normal people. Can’t wait to work out. CJ is so cool.
Pool, facilities, and especially the staff
Very warm welcomes. Always checks scanning card when necessary. Very quickly advising the proper people if there is something needing attention in the buildings.
The club is clean, professional and well run. The options for classes are many and the instructors have been welcoming and engaging.
We really appreciate the array of people who are enjoying the club; from the youngsters to the senior.
It’s cozy and much quieter than Silverdale.
Friendly staff and the swimming lessons are great!
We love our time at the YMCA in Bremerton. Our yoga teacher Melissa is a huge part of what sets the tone for a positive experience. Her warmth and kindness is contagious even on the worst day.
My family loves our neighborhood YMCA.
The entire atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
Front Desk Staff, Katie & Jessie, are wonderful! The front desk staff are so personable and always smiling!
Friendly, welcoming and inclusive
It’s clean has all the amenities and equipment that you need to have a well founded work out and enjoyable experience.
All staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of activities available.
We like that it is quiet with an amazing view.
Great staff and love all the different classes available to take. It took me a long time to feel comfortable about going back to the Gym. I am very grateful that you made it affordable for me to come there. Your staff at the front desk are always friendly and helpful.
It’s less crowded and offers everything that I’m looking for in exercising. I especially like the pool , walking track and classes.

Very welcoming and a great family atmosphere. I have been a member of eight different YMCA’s and in fact I worked for the YMCA’s in Tacoma and Bremerton is the best
