The days/hours of childcare accommodate working families who actually work all-day jobs. Also, like that there is a CIT program that offers work experience/supervision for kids that age out of the day camp programs. Not all tweens are ready to stay home all day by themselves during the summer. Also think that it's nice that place is open for free to kids during the summer so they have a chance to hang out together in a safe space.
My son, Terrance Last name removed, is enjoying day camp at the Y. We are regular visitors to the Y and last year when he was 4 years old he was sad that he was not old enough to participate.
This year he is having the best of times at camp with the many fun activities and the cool friends that he is meeting and enjoying camp with. He will be there every other week until summer ends. Last week was his first week. He would have started sooner but we were on vacation. Keep up the good work as Terrance is looking forward to more fun days at Day Camp.

We had pur son in the specialty boys gymnastics camp. It was very beneficial for him. I would suggest making it clear from the beginning as to what behavior is allowed and tolerated versus what isn't. Some of the boys did not seek to understand it was a class and not a play camp.
Filled with activities. Fun games, outdoor playtime with lots of physical activities, swimming, art activities. No screen time. Counselors and staff are amazing. Scholarship availability was a VERY BIG help to me. Thank you so much all around Lakewood YMCA❤️

The kids loved the activities and the leaders and the friends they made. They liked that they didn’t have to use porta potties. They attended Morgan day camp as well, but they didn’t like having to use porta potties. It would be nice is ymca included a weekly field trip to mix things up for the kids and let them go new places. Pick up and drop off were organized and well coordinated. I felt safe letting my kids do camp at lakewood.

The location, the parking is free and ample. The staff are friendly. There’s something for everyone! The pool is great. The machines and weights are clean. There’s classes.
The atmosphere of caring friendship and welcoming community are palpable as soon as one enters the door at the Y.
It is a clean, friendly safe place.
Non threatening place to work out. The friends that that I have made at the Lakewood Y and for me and my wife literally a life saving place.

It’s a very nice facility. The staff is wonderful, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. It is the place we enjoy going to for our physical activities.

Very friendly staff at front desk, classes were easy to find, lots of activities for children and adults.
The only draw back was the teens in the basketball court cursing the entire time I was there. No respect or regard for the younger children.

I especially like being greeted in the morning when I first come to the Y. Interacting with fellow Y members is also rewarding each day what better way to start the day and to get a good workout in.

The pool classes are awesome! The group of people who go are so welcoming & have created a true friendship with each other & the teachers. It is so much fun! I love going!
