Our coaches for Jr Suns basketball were incredible. They were so caring and helpful, wonderful with the kids, and always had a good training plan. I saw the kids get better at basketball before my eyes.
The Referee we had each week was absolutely a highlight of our experience. He made the game so much more fun, was great at teaching the kids about basketball, and had a great time himself. He truly made this very special for all of us and we are so thankful for all the heart and energy he put into making this a great experience for our kids.
The staff and coaches at Scottsdale-Paradise YMCA are amazing! They're great with the kids! Communicaiton is always spot on regarding practices/games/events.
We'll be around long-term, no doubt!
Fun, inclusive, and a good price
I can tell that the Y really puts a lot of care and effort into the activities for the kids. I really appreciate that. Sometimes younger kids or the girls sports will feel like an afterthought but not with the Y. I will definitely be recommending this to others and sticking with it for our family.
Friendly staff, clean facility, brand new equipment, group activities, trainers available, and most importantly the community focused mission of the Y!
There are so many good instructors and equipment for people to use.
It’s inclusive of all ages with expertise in many areas of health and fitness. The YOPAS program is especially caring of the clients they serve.
Friendly people, clean facility, variety of classes but could use more Zumba & yoga.
We are so lucky to have a convenient, well equipped gym to work out in. A few snags, but mostly 1st world problems!! Examples are: The addition of great new TVs that are not on regularly, a bathroom near weight room that needs a good refresh & not one day a week of 50s-70s music for older jivers😉 Mostly a very pleasant place to be & a facility to use as needed for extras like personal trainers & classes. The friendly staff is a plus as well.

Friendly staff, great equipment and friends that I’ve made
We’ve been with Ymca for over 15 years for both our boys and was very happy when they were receptive after a poor experience with a another team playing against our boys for 7 to 8th grade competitive basketball. They were proactive and made changes that kept us safe and comfortable Continuing to play sports there.
Our son is genuinely happy 😊 and loves being at the Y, which is why we keep bringing him back!
He looks forward to practices with excitement 🙌 and always leaves with a smile 😄. The fun activities, great environment, and new friendships 🤝 make it a place he truly enjoys.
Seeing him so joyful and engaged makes it an easy “yes” every time we ask if he wants to play for the Y program 💙🏀✨.

It was hard to get registered and reach the director, although maybe it's because he was just too busy with too many emails.
Or would have like to hear from the coach sooner?.
Would like to get notices about programs sooner than the night before.
Although we experienced some frustrating misinformation with swim team, we always enjoy the supportive staff members, the nonvompetitive environment focused on growth and fun, and the reasonable price for non members.
My son loves participating in the basketball program! I appreciate the program starts at pre-K and we’ve had great volunteer coaches.
The place is very clean and is busy with all ages. Great instructors and new large gym.
The trainers as well as a great seellection of different equipmment
Love this Y and the classes. Would be nice if they fixed the ladies room next to the gym and studio.

My wife and I attend the Scottsdale/PV YMCA three days a week and take four classes. The teachers that teach the fit classes are excellent. They are wonderful. I believe that our health would not be as good as it is without these classes that keep us fit.

Dirty floors and walls ,broken tiles dirt on walls toilet paper thrown on floor , dirty toilet bowls
Fixtures on sink broken
All bathrooms and lockers need upgrading and deep cleaning
convenient facility and well equipped for my needs at a good price!
