I would, and have, recommended the YMCA to everyone I know. Staff go above and beyond to plan fun activities, help them with school/personal matters.. Kierra literally thinks everyone is her best friend there.
I like the older family oriented membership and the ability to go in and get a good exercise session without being suffocated by Testosterone. Chuckle.
It has an informal friendly relaxed atmosphere. The Exercise classes are very good. The aerobic machines are good.
There is one shortcoming though that I would appreciate your attention with to improve my experience. The Precor weight machines are all "permanently" preset for persons who are at least 6 ft tall and this precludes persons of smaller stature from using them properly or at all and could potentially cause injury. For example, I am 5'5"/135# with a vulnerable lower back and I cannot use the abdominal machine properly because its settings are not adjustable for my size. As a matter of fact, when I've attempted to use it I am forced to severely arch my lower back. Physical therapists would cringe. The previous Nautilus equipment was much more "user friendly" because the adjustments were not bolted and preset for 6 footers.
The friendly members that go there.
Everything
That my health plan pays for my membership. And I moved here from North Carolina where I belonged to a very active club and the weight machines are the same so it made it easy to jump right back into my normal routine! However, this Y can’t compare to the amount of seminars and fun things they had for senior adults. I’m hoping I will see more activities for people my age.
Friendly staff, weight room, and my personal trainer Katrina.
I like my fellow members and the staff. The fitness teachers are great. The facilities are nice.
Very clean environment. Modern equipment. Friendly and courteous staff.

I attend the gym only. I love the large variety of equipment. The gym is very spacious and my fav part is that it is never packed. Sometimes it’s only 2-3 others in the gym with me and it feels like a personal gym.
Patrick is amazing! Always on top of everything. Takes safety of children very seriously.
It’s close to my home, the facilities are in OK shape, and the support team are mostly very helpful.
We love the Y! They provide our children a safe learning environment where they can thrive
Lots of activities, very organized, affordable and my kiddos love coming here!
I think your Friends Friday program is a great idea!! Perhaps it will bring back some of the old members who became discouraged.

All the staff are friendly, helpful, and very professional.
I like the group exercise classes and the community that Nanci and Jan build around those classes. I have friends that I made in Jan's class 20 years ago that have become friends outside the Y. Jan and Nanci are really great at creating community.
It’s a safe place for my kids after school
