I love the Y experience that both my wife and I have. Desert Foothills Y is amazing; a beautiful facility with amazing staff. I want to particularly call out Jen and Deb, our spin instructors. They are absolutely the best ever, and the community they’ve fostered and nurtured among the spin community is a really, really big deal. Above and beyond that, Elisha Wellman, our mutual personal trainer, is just amazing. I worked with a really good personal trainer for nearly 15 years before we moved here. I didn’t think I’d ever find anyone nearly as capable. With acknowledgement to my former trainer, Elisha is head and shoulders above. Who would have thought I’d find that skill and commitment at the Y?
Now, all that being said …. and Chris are you listening … please take better care of your sunk capital equipment cost. It’s really annoying to be an annual donor to the Y, see the significant capital investment in amazing equipment, and have 5-6 spin bikes not working at any given time …. and the trainer bike consistently not able to connect to the display. You have an amazing asset here, but you’re not caring for it. Please do better.

Friendly staff, very clean environment, lots of programs to participate in. Website design and navigation need improvement. Multiple names for the same Y location, no telephone support to correct login errors. Local Y staff not trained or have no expertise to help with IT issues. Everything must be done via website.....endless loop of frustration.
Club is clean, staff friendly and helpful. Machines all seem to be in good order, bathrooms are clean. I am enjoying the yoga classes after a four year hiatus because of the pandemic. Thank you YMCA.
I love going to Zumba. Shannon, the instructor, makes the class over-the-top fun. I forget I'm exercising and just enjoy every minute of the music. There is community in the class as well, so, I don't want to miss a single session.

Desert Foothills Family YMCA is a place I can feel welcomed. When I attend classes there I call it my me time. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I have made some good friends and look forward to seeing them in class.
Group fitness classes especially Active Older Adults.
