Facilities and staff
I mostly use the pool. The pool room temperature is too warm. The pool temperature is too warm as well.
Angela my pilates instructor, friendly staff and nice facility. Only downside is pilates room is to small.
Y sports and the White Rock Y teach good values and sportsmanship.

I love the WRL Y. I love the teachers: Kristi and Greg, I love the well designed and maintained facility. I love the friendly community of classmates in the OAA classes. I love the special OAA holiday and educational programs. I love all the front desk staff and the director, who remembers that I like to swim —I even think the lifeguards are friendly. I’m a huge fan and even those months (of Covid years or vacation) when I don’t use the services, I am happy to pay the $57 per month—I feel like it is a donation to a very worthy cause—helping children learn to swim at all the city facilities. Love, love, love it all. Old fashion organizational mission statement: walking the talk everyday!

Positive things to say about the Y: friendly check in staff; clean towels made available; locker rooms and equipment generally kept clean; child care available (though I don't use it, seems convenient and reliable); location (works great for me!); atmosphere - lots of natural night, overall has a good vibe to it; and most of all I enjoy the classes and the instructors.

When I was a child, YMCA is where I was introduced to organized sports. Being able to coach my son's pk3 soccer team was an amazing experience. It was truly a pleasure.
It’s been a great first experience. It’s been affordable, well organized, and my son is really enjoying learning to play t-ball. Our coach has been a great communicator, and everything has been running so smoothly.
