I live in the community where Park South is located and the facility and staff are truly Extended Family to me and have been since 1983. Our Director and Staff are very friendly, helpful, encouraging and supportive in numerous ways. In communicating with other members I feel encouraged to know that their perception of Park South is much like my own. We are excited to see what lies ahead for our Park South Family YMCA.
I love how the counselors take the time to connect with all the teen participants. They make them feel safe and make the experience fun for all!
My son works here for the summer as a lifeguard. The atmosphere is friendly and warm. I recommend this place for anyone.
Coach Distine works very hard to get the team participants to be their best. I always say from the about Coach! From the sidelines Coach Destine puts her head underwater to make sure the kids are doing what she is training them to do…lol! Most importantly she doesn’t give up on any kid that needs that extra discipline to make that swimmer be the strongest swimmer they can become!
Keep up the great work Coach Destine! Each one of those swimmers need you! Thank you for caring about them and my grandchild!

The location is good close to my apartment the people there are just above and beyond friendly and respectful and concerned and caring always asking how are you good morning you don't hear them negative comments I am the minority in the in the building usually there are a mixed group but I'm the white person of the group and the majority are people of color and they accept me just like I was one of their own children are elevator has been down for almost two and a half months and that stops a lot of us older people from getting down to be able to go to the pool and do water aerobics or whatever that's a detriment to our environment there at the y if we could just get to the water a lot of us can't travel down the steps due to wheelchairs scooters walkers blindness it's easier to get the elevator go down that way we can get to the dressing room to the pool and have our good day that we enjoy going to the wife for as well please fix the elevator or either get it to where we can get down to the pool all you got to do is communicate with us and let us know what's going on and we would be probably a lot more understanding right now people have their their feelings offended and are not happy there's been several that's quit coming because they can't get into the pool and do what they want to do or need to do please please hear our voices do something to help us so that we can stay a family at Park South thank you God bless

What I like about the YMCA is that, the people are kind and have a Hospitality Spirit, this mean that they are willing to help you at any cost ,regardless of your need and they go all out for you until you have a smile on your face, and I love that in the people at the YMCA. Family oriented, this means that the people put the family's and love ones at the core of their priorities. Family oriented people tend to focus on family values, draw strength from their family, lean on family in decision-making processes, and put the needs of the family ahead of their own.
