What do you like about your Teen Afterschool at Park South Family YMCA experience?

WE ARE FAMILY! The staff has taken care of my baby girl for years. To our children they are aunts & uncles, confidante, teachers, and friends. Ms. Princess and Mr. Ben have truly made my child feel safe and taken care of. As a single mom I don't have any back up or a place for my daughter to go after school. But the YMCA After-school program has given me the peace of mind needed. I am forever grateful.

What do you like about your Teen Afterschool at Park South Family YMCA experience?

The Teen advisors are very active and attentive towards the teens. They care about them dearly, and treat them as young adults. They assist with homework, YG and life skills as well.

What do you like about your Park South Family YMCA experience?

I became a member of The Park South Family YMCA prior to retirement. Upon retiring in 2000 I requested a membership to Park South as a retirement gift from my family. The members and staff are my extended Family and I Pray for and enjoy them so very much. We enjoyed our visit and learned a great deal with Magic Johnson during the presentation at Lake Highlands Family YMCA.

What do you like about your Preschool at the Park South YMCA experience?

I like the small classes and the one on one education my son has received.This has help him greatly because he has some learning challenges we didn’t know about.His teacher has done a great job on keeping me updated on his progress and works with him.Most important i like to see how happy my son is going to school everyday.The staff is very caring and they always make sure my son is well taken care of.We don’t live in South Dallas and i could have sent him to our neighborhood school.This will be his last year and i already missed them.

Teen After-school has been a great program for our family and I highly recommend it...through the program my children have gained AMAZING mentoring and lasting friendships as well as opportunities to engage in different local and regional events that help promote growth and knowledge...thank you for this program.

The staff are all so courteous and helpful, by letting us know of all the upcoming events, the classes I attended all the people that were there made me feel like a part of the Park South Family. I will truly be looking forward to rejoining them in the future.

What do you like about your Park South Family YMCA experience?

I specifically go for the water aerobics. Our instructor Brenda is awesome and the participants are great as well! Give Brenda a raise and make sure the YMCA takes care of her when Park South closes. If it is possible, extend the date for Park South or keep it open.

What do you like about your Park South Family YMCA experience?

The staff is absolutely wonderful, helpful, friendly, clean facility (janitor has it looking fabulous), the volunteers can't wait to help, great programs and the location is good. The police presence is appreciated, they come and join in the activities. I invite others on a regular basis to come and join the YMCA they have a lot to offer people of all ages. You all are appreciated!!

What do you like about your Swim Lessons at Park South Family YMCA experience?

The swim instructors are passionate about what they teach and care deeply about their students. They are patient and understanding especially with reticent swimmers. Nevertheless, they don’t give up on them and continue to encourage them to try and to do more than the student thinks he or she can do. I highly recommend swim lessons here for anyone.

Our son Jacob K. had been attending Y camps for servers camps now and no location beats Park South!!!! Everyone is super nice there!! Out some is super excited to go there every singe day!!! By the second week of attending he asked to be signed there in the next year- and every week he keep asking for it.
Mr. Ben, program director is amazing!!! Ms. Washington- regional manager is awesome!!! To just name the few.
Our family appreciates all the hard work team does with kids (now teens) and creating such a great summer experience!!!
