I like the friendly people I've met and the activities that are offered. We are truly family.
I like that most of those in attendance treat each other as Family. I joined Park South when I moved to South Dallas in 1983 and truly felt welcomed by staff and members. I was exposed to numerous activities and met individuals that I otherwise would not have encountered. We are truly looking forward to 2025 rushing into our New Facility.
The Park South Y is not just a place to to exercise, it's a family place where we all come together as one laughing, crying, hurting and respecting one another. I've been a member since 2014 and now consider it my third family (my family, church and Park South Y)

The team members are warm and friendly. Knowledgeable of the Y and great communication.
I like the respect, the person and team building, the energy of the coach and his interest to get kids to be better as a whole not just as swimmers. The values of the team are noticeably delivered. All the staff are amazing individuals

My daughter loves her swim team Sharks. She trains, competes and wins. She is disciplined and competitive so this groups keeps her focus.

Excellent place to take your preschooler. My son went here and my daughter currently goes here.
WE ARE FAMILY! The staff has taken care of my baby girl for years. To our children they are aunts & uncles, confidante, teachers, and friends. Ms. Princess and Mr. Ben have truly made my child feel safe and taken care of. As a single mom I don't have any back up or a place for my daughter to go after school. But the YMCA After-school program has given me the peace of mind needed. I am forever grateful.
The people are friendly, the activities, field trips, family environment, they have programs for all ages
The Teen advisors are very active and attentive towards the teens. They care about them dearly, and treat them as young adults. They assist with homework, YG and life skills as well.
I became a member of The Park South Family YMCA prior to retirement. Upon retiring in 2000 I requested a membership to Park South as a retirement gift from my family. The members and staff are my extended Family and I Pray for and enjoy them so very much. We enjoyed our visit and learned a great deal with Magic Johnson during the presentation at Lake Highlands Family YMCA.

The family atmosphere
I like the small classes and the one on one education my son has received.This has help him greatly because he has some learning challenges we didn’t know about.His teacher has done a great job on keeping me updated on his progress and works with him.Most important i like to see how happy my son is going to school everyday.The staff is very caring and they always make sure my son is well taken care of.We don’t live in South Dallas and i could have sent him to our neighborhood school.This will be his last year and i already missed them.
Youth and Government are my favorite aspects of the Afterschool program. The counselors work very diligently to make sure the teens learn the process and learn how to create and get a bill passed. I love that during Christmas time all the teens received gifts. I really appreciate my son having a quiet place to do his homework and to receive help with his studies.
