Member Testimonials
The DFW YMCA experience is phenomenal. I grew up going to the Y in Sheboygan Wisconsin in the 80s. It was such a beloved experience, I learned to swim and attended preschool there. Later our family relocated to Arizona and mostly participated in private gyms and the parks and rec programs. After years of trying many programs in DFW, returning to the Y and taking full advantage of all the programs for adults has been truly wonderful. The Moody Experience is exceptional, but I would also speak to the class instructors who instruct at all the Ys in Dallas. Tonya and Amy are our favorites. We are currently in the best shape of our lives due in part to their commitment and consistency. That is just one example of why we have chosen to become life long members of the YMCA. We also love the flexibility of being able to drop into classes at our neighborhood Y in Downtown, or Moody, or White Rock. We have inconsistent schedules, but Y has so much to offer all the time that we rarely miss out workouts.
Coach Connor is excellent! I will give him all the credit: Nathaniel learned how to swim with him. We are so grateful!

Friendliness
We had a great instructor - Ian who really encouraged his students and met them where they were in their swim training. I'm impressed how far my daughter came from taking 4 weeks of lessons with Ian.
Our grandchildren go every year. It is the best bang for the buck out of all the camps in Texas.
Always a positive atmosphere, very clean, and teachers are excellent.
I very much appreciate the coffee service because it is always available, unlike the Lake Highlands Y.
We need more barre and Pilates classes later in the day and on weekends. 9:30 am on weekdays is too early for me.
Conner is a fantastic teacher/coach.

IT IS ALL GOOD.

Emily is a very good water aerobics instructor. I really enjoy her class and get a fantastic work out.
One thing I am concerned about is that while I understand why the class is in the warm water pool. Hello lane swimming; I hope the Y keeps the warm water pool on the cool side.
As intense as we work out, it’s not good for the body to do cardio, core and weight training in warm water.
I truly love the opportunity to work as hard as I am used to.
Thanks for being there.
