Developmental league refs are good with kids.
I really enjoy the sportsmanship and learning that's promoted. The referees for the basketball games are amazing.
Friendly professional staff.

Large variety of high quality equipment, I have never found it too crowded, staff welcoming and friendly, locker area & bathrooms are kept clean. I came from LifeTime, which I think is the best, when cost exceeded value. I miss the wet areas and the recovery equipment, but other than that I feel the Y is an equal.
What I'd like to see improved, encouraging members to:
- clean equipment & weights after use
- minimize use of phones, usually younger men camp out on equipment while using social media
Very friendly staff who are eager to help
My son had so much of fun and Mr. Graham and Mr. Newkirt was so dedicated and committed and groomed such a winning team. Thanks you the coaches and YMCA for making this happen.
It was great!
Variety of classes in offered. I love that I can do Zumba one day, and Barre another.
Family friendly
Couches are very respectful and everything is so organized.
Great experience. My child enjoyed. We will enroll more for sure.
I highly recommend the YMCA basketball program for any child looking to develop their skills and love for the sport. My son participated for the first time this season, and the experience has been exceptional. Coach John Herrera stands out for his dedication, enthusiasm, and ability to motivate the kids. His commitment to teaching the fundamentals and sportsmanship has significantly impacted my son's growth as a player and a team member.
Additionally, the referees involved are top-notch. Their fair and professional approach ensures that each game is played with integrity and respect, providing a positive environment for all players. The combination of Coach Herrera’s guidance and the referees’ professionalism makes the YMCA basketball program an excellent choice for young athletes.
Lots of fun experiences on the lake. My daughter loved tubing.
YMCA is home since 2012. The staff, the environment and the facility was always on the highest level comparable to other fitness centers.
Instructor Carol is great in Les Mills class; it is a perfect blend of yoga with other skills.

Love the Y. Just need the towel service back.
Fantastic staff. Welcoming, encouraging, and helpful!
Friendly staff, clean, plenty of equipment
Friendly people.
Convenient location
Reasonably priced
I attend classes at the Y five times per week. I consistently chose the Y due to its exceptional instructors, diverse class offerings, and welcoming environment. A significant factor in my continued patronage is the community's commitment to conservative values. Thank you that the club didn't embrace Pride month in June. It does not align with Biblical Christianity, and I am uncomfortable with the potential influence on children's minds regarding acceptance of the gay lifestyle. I fear that an excessive focus on 'inclusion' may lead to policies resembling those in more 'liberal' clubs, where concerns about allowing men in women's bathrooms have arisen. I sincerely hope that such developments will not compromise the cherished values of my beloved Frisco Y.
Complaints; many of my fellow class companions have expressed their complaints about the lack of upper shades in the front workout room. There are large spots of sun coming through the glass which makes it hot. Plus, we try to avoid those areas which cuts down on the space for others. The shades do exist in the back workout room. Why haven't you added them to the front? It's been like this since I joined the gym several years ago. I'd rather have shades then funky lights around the mirror.
Plenty of activities
Proximity to my living place, friendly staff, equipment variety, convenient schedule, and friendly atmosphere.
The people who work there and the trainers!
I love the instructors (especially Cynthia L. and Rachel), the facility and equipment in general, even though the location is a little far for me (I live in Plano, close to the Plano YMCA) I go here quite often.
Staff facilities programs. Would like a gym and/or pool.
Every time I come it’s an exciting sweat filled workout shared by happiness!
We love Body Pump classes. You’re one of the few places around that does it. Everyone is so friendly and it’s close to the house

I love the YMCA and have been a member as well as an employee over the past 20 years. The connection and compassion shared by the staff and members as well as the child development area surpass any other organization. The Community and Christian values are very important as the YMCA meets the needs of the Mind,Body and Spirit.
