There is a wide variety of creative programs and activities offered at the camp each day/week. This is my daughter's 3rd year at Camp Elmwood and she absolutely loves it!
Teen village inclusion activities are great!
Family night
Drop off/pick up procedure
Campers choice
Guests on Wednesdays
Children love all the activities, field trips and swimming. Plus being outside is the best!
Fun and the most important SAFE
Teen Village has our kiddos side by side with typicals.
I love the camps so far! This is a first year and I think one of my favorite parts of the camp are field trip options and all of the fun activities! I feel like I drive by normal town rec camps and the kids are sitting down a lot and not playing. The y seems to always have something fun planned and my daughter has never come home and said she was “bored”!
The culture at Camp Elmwood is great. It has developed and matured into a positive environment for my daughters. It doesn’t matter much which program you choose. I hope they keep it up!
There is such a wonderful variety of activities throughout the day. Our son Brady is always excited to attend camp.
fun activities
I can focus on getting healthier in a nice environment that makes me feel comfortable to push myself and take the time I need to do my exercises.
The programs are great for my son. However there is hardly any for my 14 year old daughter.
unless she wants to be a counselor which is not her cup of tea
Welcoming and friendly environment and a community feel!
Great place
The people that work and manage the camp are awesome. It all starts there.
I love going to the gym and being able to shower with hot water and do some laps in the indoor pool when I'm done. It's been perfect for getting back into shape and battling mental health issues like depression. I love my Y!
Very well run, great variety of levels offered, and many instructors consider modifications when needed. Very friendly, positive atmosphere.
Professional instructors
I especially enjoy the group exercise classes. The facilities are always very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful.
I think the Y has something for everyone, and also help for those in financial need, so for that reason I think things are just great there.
The one thing I really do miss is the HockY app that went away a few months ago, I used it to check in, and to track my day at the Y it kept me motivated, it was great to track activity on the Matrix equipment.
I mainly do the treadmill do to my schedule. I like that I can go anytime and always find a vacant treadmill.
Love aqua exercise but wish you offered it everyday
I love my YMCA
My primary reason to join the YMCA is to swim year round for health and fitness.
Would like child care to be available more in the middle of the day, but my kids love to go when we can coordinate the times. The machines are always clean, everyone is friendly and respectful. Swim classes for my 3 year old have been great, looking forward to trying more classes for her. Would love to see kickboxing type classes.
Enjoy the variety of classes.
Shout outs to Lisa B, Noelle, and Bobby - all know their stuff, very welcoming, and make the workouts fun
Overall great quality
We love the gymnastics room and it’s conveniently located close to home!
I only do Water Walking, usually at Franklin Y. When I can't make it to the 3x/wk times at Franklin I am thrilled that there are 5x/wweek slots in N. Attleboro! The pool is lovely. and the distance from parking to sign-in desk, to locker room, to pool is the best of the 3 Hockomock y pool locations. If only N. A. had a hot tub it would be just about perfect!
BYW I think that "YMCA" should now stand for "Your Mindful Community Association"! Much more inclusive than the old meaning!

My daughter loves gymnastics camp. Has been going for years now.
