Member Testimonials
I love it. One complaint is that I feel very uncomfortable in street clothes and street shoes when people get in the pool area, especially inside the sauna. Being a nurse, I think this is not hygienic
Lisa Cossette is an awesome personal trainer. Please give her my best regards.
At the North Attleboro YMCA 300 Elmwood St, we love the adaptive Volt Hockey program.
They are welcoming with no judgement. Very positive attitude
Kind, knowledgeable staff.
Variety of activities
I love the cleanliness of the FoxboroY, it clearly stands out from the other two locations. The only thing you lack is a noon-time spin class, which I have been asking for for years. Would love to have that for a remote worker who can leave home for a half hour for a spin class. I think the need is there if it was advertised correctly
Friendly atmosphere and community focused.
Nice vibe, like all the work with children and families. Facilities are excellent. Personal Training options are wonderful.
Excellent teachers
I love the Zumba and dance exercise options.
Just wish they were 1 full hour not 45 mins.
All of them!! Variety - there are so many options each day. Also, the environment is relaxed and not like other gyms I’ve been a member of.
I like the low impact aqua aerobics taught by Kathy and have recommended it to others.
Lots to choose from but nice folks!
Adult exercise programs varied and well presented.
Everything!
Staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. Like the exercise class teachers especially Michelle Lawler. You accommodated the bursting at the seams Chair Yoga class by adding a day during the year and providing a larger studio in the summer. Multiple ages and abilities are welcome. I LOVE the indoor track. I like the fitness room equipment. Aqua aerobics is on my not-yet list.
Sometimes the music in the exercise classes is LOUD. I avoid those classes.
From school children to seniors, there is something for everyone. From those that want to maintain fitness to those looking to improve or begin their own fitness journey. There are opportunities for all fitness and skill levels and all ages, whether in the pool, the gym, the weight room, or the various (beautiful) studio spaces, track and cycle area.
And the benefits of social interactions can be immeasurable - especially in such challenging times. So, I can say firsthand that this facility is truly a community for good.
Love the pool and family swim hours
I mostly go to the Y for swimming. I also like the charitable side of the Y.
I think the staff at the Y in Foxboro are so so nice and helpful. . I enjoy the programs, especially Chair Yoga on Tues & Thurs. with Michelle.
The friendly staff, very clean facility and easy to find and read pool schedule make my daily swim a pleasure.
diversity of offerings
Their diversity and inclusiveness
We love the family programming. There is literally something for everyone in our household. We love how comfortable our kids have become especially as pandemic kids (petrified of people). We love how ethnically diverse the YMCAhas become. Even when we ran into an issue with a swimming instructor (Olivia) being disrespectful and singling our son out. Though it was unfortunate we had to switch our schedule around. We are happy we were able to rectify the situation. We cannot thank the staff enough for going over and above for us and YMCA family.
You have some excellent instructors- Ross Gemba, Helen, Chris, etc. The people at the front desk are friendly and helpful. The gym is clean. Lots of class offering.
Like the swimming program for youth. Like the treadmills.
Love the water aerobics! The instructors,Meredith,Kathy and Suzanna are great.
Everything my children have done at the YMCA has been great and all staff are amazing!
Great facilities, amazing people.

The Y is sincere in offering services to everyone, regardless of financial status. Though I sometimes feel like 'It is so crowded in here!' I appreciate the adherence to the mission of care for all persons. Note: I was not so charmed on Saturday when the pool was bursting with swimmers and I had, at one point, 4 other persons in my swim lane☆
