The Foxboro Y is such a fabulous community to belong to. I have benefited so much by being part of this community. The instructors are wonderful- they really care about each person who attends their class. They are so committed and dedicated to the Y and the members.
I am extremely thankful for everyone including all those folks that run the facility.

If you take advantage of all the classes , pool, fitness/center and facilities the YMCA is a good deal. The staff is friendly , and the facilities are kept reasonably clean. If you’re only looking for a place to workout , there are far better deals in the marketplace. And most of these places do not raise their membership rates on an annual basis like the hockomock Y.
The equipment layout of the Franklin wellness center should be reviewed for better space management. Right now there are a few large cage areas that take up a lot of space and a trio of pulley machines that rarely get used ( but take up a lot of space as well). For some reason rhe permanent bench press was removed a few years ago and these large cages took their place.
It also took years of complaining about the lack of consistent hot water in the shower room for any permanent solution ( complete overhaul and replacement ). At the same time , membership rates continue to increase steadily each year , often higher than the annual CPI ?
The member suggestion board should be implemented again.
I continue to be a member of the Y for over 20 years , but have switched gyms a few times due to reasons mentioned above.

Open lap swim and open gym
Clean. Mostly on one floor. Nice staff. I love Rachel's dance class on Monday and Wednesday. I know that sometimes you need a substitute for her class and the woman you recently used was excellent. I heard that for her class last week that she played Spanish music that had a very fast pace. After feedback from the class, she came in with all new music this week and really hit the ball out of the park!
What I would like is another class like Rachel's as I hate the Gold Zumba that is currently offered on Friday. I would also like a beginners yoga class on Tuesday or Thursday as the current instructor seems to focus on the current class members and not the newer people. My knees are challenged and I can't sit on those blocks. Some up and down on the floor is OK, but not for the full hour.
I would also like you to add a small TRX class as a trial with some sitting and some cardio to see how it would be received. I know that your equipment is limited, but that may help you to plan for the future.
I am making these suggestions as my membership cost is almost $100/month which is $1200 per year which is very high compared to other YMCA's in the area! Name removed

I go to the Zumba classes. I would love to go to the Bolkyx class but it is only offered during the day so maybe more classes offered.
I take Sunday morning classes: Core & Stretch and Yoga for Everyone. The instructors are wonderful. I’ve used the weight room and find it clean & well maintained. All staff are welcoming & supportive.

I would recommend the Y but I think there are several things that would improve the class programs.

Please, please, fix or replace the water fountain near the men's locker room in Foxboro! It's been 4-5 months now? This really doesn't look good as far as public appearances go. I just looked it up on line and they are about $1000 from the Websturarnt Store and ships in one day. Do you want me to buy it? Seriously, I'll be happy to and this will be my yearly donation to the Y.
