It has a scholarship program for me and my son. If not we wouldn't be able to afford it. It also has a great staff that are helpful and kind. My son is enjoying it Immediately. I am a little nervous about starting classes but looking to overcome my fear.
There is something for everyone and I like the myriad of activities available for my young son.

I had a stroke while on vacation in Belize, Central America. Coming back to the United States, the Montclair YMCA was crucial to my physical rehabilitation. The treadmills, recumbent bicycles, the NuStep machine, all 10 machines in the Circuit Training room, and the vast amount of equipment in the Weight Room, all outstanding.
I, for one, can’t express my profound gratitude for the entire experience, which continues as we speak. Thank you very much.

Variety of classes, the weight room, the room in locker room for women, the small pool and aqua exercise classes
I love YMCA, but wish there will be classes as like before pandemic. Now I see very few classes actively running and even less classes I could attend
The direction and what is offered
I love the very diverse offerings and I love the Pool! The YMCA is great!!
The only thing I don't like is that the parking costs. I pay about $1.70 for 1.5 hours, which is a pretty average amount of time to be at the gym. This adds up if you do 3-4 times a week. I think the town should reduce the parking costs for gym members. It's not right that the town is trying to make money off of town members (and a lot of seniors) who are just trying to stay healthy.
All the amenities and the staff is so kind
I am a national member and use the Park St YMCA frequently when visiting grandkids. The staff is friendly and helpful, good size locker room, great variety of equipment types well spaced out.
Love the sauna and steam room.
SUGGESTION: I happened in to the girls/womens locker room near the pool recently while looking for a bathroom. It is quite shabby and needs to be updated.
Local, serving the community, fun teachers, clean facilities- not stuffy or competitive.
The Montclair YMCA is a community organization that has a diverse, inclusive, and tolerant population of members. You can find "prettier" organizations, but the Montclair YMCA is run by very caring and competent professionals who are there to help each member grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We are very lucky to have such strong leadership in a very special place!

Employees are very helpful and cordial. There is a large variety of activities and an abundance of facilities and equipment. Steam room and sauna are great (men).

Clean and contains everthing I like
All the staff at the Park Street Y are very friendly and helpful. I appreciate the cleanliness of the locker room and bathrooms, a warm thank to the maintenance personal.
The Y is generally very clean and the equipment in good condition. It's easy to find parking being adjacent to a public garage.
Friendly staff, cleaniness of facility, variety of fitness classes.
I have easy access to the small pool, which is what I use every week.
