I've been a "Y" member since 1980 and I can't say enough about the Montclair Y . The facility is always clean with well maintained machines and workout spaces weather they be the training area, the circuit room, the gym, free classes, the weight room,... or the aerobics rooms. All the trainers and attendants are very polite, friendly, and helpful when you need direction.
Yeh,... you can join other fitness options out there , but I can say without hesitation, that the Montclair YMCA is , without question,.... the biggest bang for the buck considering all of what is available for the membership fee if you take advantage of them.

The pool and swim schedule. Employees are friendly. The management (especially Lisa Kievit) is exceptional!
I do like many things about YMCA Montclair establishment, staring from the people that works there always very friendly and helpful. This establishment is always well maintained, from cleanliness to structure improvements, and equipment upgrades to provide a safe a pleasant experience to all the members.
It feels like home, thanks to everyone that is part of it !

I love the yoga classes at the Y. They are accessible to seniors and are still quite strenuous. The instructors manage to guide us and make individual recommendations.
I like the facility and the staff is always very friendly. I am a swimmer and the pool staff is very good and the pool is emasculate. The locker room is clean and well maintained.
The variety of programs and classes, the excellent quality of the instructors, the friendly atmosphere exuded by the staff.

The facilities are top notch except for the men's steam bath, which is frequently not working.
I like this YMCA because it is do diverse. I am 72yo and this YMCA is so diverse I never feel out of place. There are very young and very old and there is a place for all of us.
I love being around my Y family folks I know and like. I enjoy the activities, chair Yoga, tai chi, swimming, water exercise, pickleball. And being a singer, I enjoy the music the water exercise teachers play at their classes.
I love the pool! I think the YMCA pool is the best pool around the area of Montclair.

I love the sense of community at the Y. Everyone is friendly—literally every says “hi” and smiles from the moment you walk in. It is wonderful and inspiring to see the same faces over and over. I love the incredibly diversity at our Y, it feels like all of Montclair is there!
