great program, safe and reliable. Qualified, dedicated, caring and professional staff who have patience, and a love of working with children. The only thing that has been in conversations between my child and I, have been homework help. I would like for my child to be able to feel comfortable enough to ask for help as much as needed with homework, and consistent check-ups throughout my child's entire time doing homework so that the homework is checked for accuracy, understanding and being sure homework is completed. Overall great program, my child has been attending for 2 years and will continue to attend in the future. I recommend the ymca aftercare for parent/caregiver looking for a safe, worry-free, reliable and nurturing place for their child to be after school and while the parent is at work.

I only use the pool. The locker room is always available.
The showers are always clean and the water is comfortably warm.

Excellent YMCA
I go back to 1968 when when I was in Montclair high school. The Montclair YMCA is one of the finest YMCA's that I have ever seen. You may use me as a recommendation I have a knowledge of its history various renovations before you had the olympic size pool and so on.

The experience with racquetball continues to be disappointing. The court floor is often slippery because it hasn't been cleaned. The court is not available to be booked on the app for long stretches of certain days, for no apparent reason -- the employees working at the front desk don't understand why that's the case. And recently the court's walls have been deteriorating, possibly because folks (kids?) are picking away at the plaster with their fingers. The court is a huge amenity, but only if we treat it that way!

The providers are warm and caring and I can tell that my son enjoys the time that he spends in after care. The indoor and outdoor space is also great and there are a variety of activities that include physical activity which is a plus. I highly recommend!
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Good fitness atmosphere, quality machines and machines work. Rarely have I come in to workout and I see machine down or not working. Everyone pretty much follows the safety protocols to wipe machines down after use and are respectful of others.

They are really friendly and communicate all the time with kids. I always hear they are chatting with different kids, making jokes and laughed when I pick up my kids. Appreciated for all the caring and supports.
They engage kids with different activities and games. if asked, they also help kids with homework.
My son absolutely loves the activities that keep him engaged and exercising in the afternoon. Great job. I can’t get him to leave the building when it’s pick up time.
Staff at CHB are kind caring and understanding to my child’s need's, ability and disability. They are supportive of the family needs and well being. They make sure the protection of the children are a priority and maintain family privacy, entrust confidentiality and understand sensitivity of information. You have a great team at CHB.

The new addition to the team (staff). Also the programs like STEM and Zumba. My son really looks forwards to attending aftercare!
The main counselors are really good with the kids, and aftercare is reliable. Also like the extras like parties for the kids or snacks. Help with homework is also great too. Our former lead counselor, Mr. Zay, taught kids how to play chess, and my son still plays and has gotten pretty good, all from learning at aftercare :-)

It is very convenient for elementary school. My child’s care takers are the best. Ms. Mockabee and Mr. Parker are great they really take an interest to all the kids.
The trainers are very friendly and competent. The facility is clean and up to date. And there is a wide range of classes.
Mr. Zay at Edgemont and Ms. Sofia at DLC are wonderful!!
The before and aftercare staff are always friendly, they always ensure that the kids are delivered safely to us when we come to pick them up, and Kayla is amazing!
