Teachers personally get to know each child. They engage the children in a variety of activities, while keeping safety the priority. My children looked forward to after care and sometimes asked to stay longer!

Great service
The before and after care programs have been wonderful for us and a great experience for our son. Our son loves going to morning care and stays active in after care. Knowing that caring people are looking after him before and after school is a great comfort to us, two working parents.
I love the Montclair Ymca. The facilities and prices are great. I use my membership primarily for yoga classes and am pleased with the variety of classes offered.
We loved the semi-private setup, with a lot of personal attention that made the classes really valuable! Claire was a patient and most excellent teacher for first-time swimmers.
I really like the yoga classes, notably the classes taught by Rose and Maggie.

Great coach
the classes have been incredible! The instructor is so welcoming and encouraging, the class itself is the perfect length and so much fun (for both me and my son haha), and the other kids/parents have been great. So grateful we found this!
Friendly knowledgeable staff. Clean facilities great lessons
The Instructors are why the class was great. I struggle with swimming and have a fear of water but they were patient and taught us useful skills. Going to the deep end was scary but practicing was helpful. The instructors were encouraging. As the lessons came closer to the end, the class was able to divide from swimmers who were doing well and swimmers who needed more help with technique. This was great because it allowed us all to keep up with colleagues in our skill level. I would strongly recommend because of the instructors.

It’s affordable, the staffs are polite etc
Our kid enjoyed his swim class (PreK - stage 2), and really like his teacher (Ms Caroline). His favorite part was "being in the water and playing", and his least favorite was "waiting my turn sitting on the edge". We would like the water the be slightly warmer, it's pretty common to see the kids ending their session very cold, and with blue lips...
The instructors were nice and the program was straight forward. My children enjoyed all of the programming.
My son loved his swimming classes and has shown more confidence in the water :)
