My kids love Camp Evergreen. My 6 1/2 yr old is in his second year of Foxes and my 5 yr old started Chipmunks this year and we plan on making this our primary camp every summer! The boys come home happy, tired, with dirt under their fingernails, having spent the day playing outside doing archery, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, swimming, boating, playing games, and doing crafts. They spend the day outside, away from screens, doing healthy, fun activities- a perfect summer day!
My son truly loved going to Camp Evergreen. I loved that he was outside and not on his computer all day.
This was his last year, he is going to miss it so much and wishes camp would be available for high school students.

Our kids have so much fun at Camp Evergreen - activities are age appropriate and they learn so many new songs, games, skills.
So far my 6 year old has done camp evergreen, zoo camp, and beaver lake camp and evergreen is his favorite!

We absolutely love the YMCA Camp Evergreen! Iyt builds leadership, character, and keeps the kids outside all day!
Kids loved it, bus option was accessible and convenient. Only recommendations: counsels to run tick checks daily and remind kids to check (my kid had so many!), make bussing scholarships available (perhaps they already are).
Mix of indoor and outdoor activities, friendly staff
Evergreen has a great variety of fun summer activities. The property is amazing and the Y does the best job of training counselors. They also take care to have the lyme alliance come and advise of tick safety.
The inclusion program is incredible.

I like the instructors and have met new friends. It’s difficult to make new friends at an older age, but it’s great and easier at the Y.
I take several exercise classes and yoga for active older adults. They keep me moving. That’s important when you are older.

The childcare employees are simply great. They may only watch our kids for a short time but they truly seem to care for them. It is so nice to be able to relax knowing they are cared for while we work out.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. I love the water fitness classes in both the Therapy pool and the lap pool. Suzanne, Pam, and Michele are wonderful. They warn me when there’s an exercise they think might hurt my shoulder which was replaced.
Great facility and staff.. wish hours were at least until 6 pm on Sunday

The staff are consistently knowledgeable, helpful, and caring; both for members and other staff. I think it is on of the best YMCA branches I have ever been to!
The whole family loves going to the YMCA! Had a birthday party for my two youngest in May, it was hands down the most pleasant experience. The two young people assisting with the birthday party deserve a raise! They were both beyond helpful and kept all the kids entertained and safe while in the bounce house. Even found out they were both counselors this year for camp Nesse, the kids were beyond thrilled to find this out!
