Love, Love love the swimming program! Beginning of the year daughter was struggling with swimming. Now she's level 5 and can't wait to get on the swim team! Thank you Southvalley Family YMCA Team! Now to figure out how I can get back to being fit again.
Convenient and not too expensive
I like that there are both land and water activities and programs for all types of people. I like how long the lap pool is available.
I like your friendly staff. Mikko is one of my favorites.
I mainly do the gym area, but the yoga class (with Nancy) is one of my favorites.
If I could change anything it would be to have a warmer pool It's just too cool for my old bones.

For the most part, the instructors challenge participants to aim for the next level of one’s workout. Yet, they caution us to listen to our bodies and adjust when necessary. The instructors are well trained and are very knowledgeable about the benefits that their workout provides.
I especially like your Tai Chi class. These are hard to find and Hung is an excellent instructor.
All I use is the weights and a little pool time.

Gym is most balanced out of the South Bay YMCAs. Good amount of free weights and cardio machines. Classes are fun and employees are nice.
Weight room and e-gym. Cleanliness of facilities. Reasonable hours (though 10pm would be even better).

Even though a single senior, I like the community involvement of our Y and feel it is one aspect of building good foundations for our children. In some small way, I feel I am contributing to that.
