Friendly staff, nice facility, etc
Lots of options for group workouts.
Group exercise
Everyone is friendly and inclusive
Lots of variety
I've only been there once, but found it very welcoming. And there are lots of classes to choose from in the future.
A nice variety of classes to try. I love that "normal" people teach the classes. Don't have to be skinny, and regular body type is good.
great variety of classes and program for all ages!
A great variety of activities offered at all different times of the day and evening make it easy to fit exercise into my schedule.
We enjoy a family membership, husband and wife. We find the programs and activities to be
well communicated and very useful. One of us was a cardiac/pulmonary patient at the El Camino Hospital next door, and the broad range of guided exercise classes, the available help for using exercise machines or weights, and the helpfulness of the staff are therefore valuable to us. The facility is kept to a very high standard of cleanliness and the staff is invariably cheerful and positive. This branch of the Y is very important in our lives.
The Y is great! I may be biased because its real close to my house but I think its a nice facility, plus the instructors are dedicated and respectful. I'm a fan!
I love the clean and large facilities, I like the outdoor pool, I love the hours, I like the friendly staff, and I like the mix of members who belong.
Like the class offerings including Body attack. Kids like Open Gym and E-Gym
Wide range of hours and programs.
I like how inclusive and friendly the facility is. I like how it represents the community, with the goal of becoming more fit and healthy.
Resistance machines.
Mountain View location is awesome, I live close to Cupertino & Saratoga location but drive to Mountain View. Main reason I like Mountain View location is quality of instructors for group class. Specially your Reformer instructors are awesome. Facility is also so much cleaner at Mountain View as oppose to other locations.
The pool is warm. The staff and community is welcoming.
I like Zumba and Yoga classes. Andrey P. ,Ann C, Kim L. Eva, and Roberto are great. Thank you for all YMCA staffs and these instructors.
Happy New year!

Group Ex classes
Water classes and dance. Excellent customer service.
I would like to rave about the outstanding group exercise classes in step aerobics taught by Rob Carillo on certain Saturdays and Sundays. Rob has a large and loyal following, and his voice has the clarity of a radio announcer. His classes are carefully and conscientiously prepared, easy to follow, and provide a superb workout. They always draw a crowd of happy participants, and the exercise is truly fun and highly aerobic.
I have also been pleased with the step aerobic classes taught by the instructor "JC" on alternate Saturdays and Sundays. His classes are are also conscientiously and competently done and a good workout.
I would like to mention that Ys in Redwood City (RC) and Palo Alto (PA) are closer to my home. Both formerly offered excellent step aerobics classes, but for some reason those classes have been discontinued (including one by Rob Carillo). The only decent class at PA on Saturday morning conflicts in time with the class at El Camino. Furthermore, the facility at PA, in my opinion, is inferior in a number of ways to the El Camino Y..
Variety of programs and time options kids actvities and group excercise.
What I do NOT like is water on the floor of the locker room.
There is no excuse for it. There are plenty of towels and room to use them in the shower room.
It is quite a problem taking one's pants off or putting them on without letting them touch the wet floor.
It is not possible to walk bare footed without stepping into contaminated water, presumably loaded with athletes foot germs.
Please put up signs indicating that "wet shower room is OK; dry locker room is required".
Thanks.
