I enjoy seeing my Y friends. I take Chuck and Linda's morning classes 3-4 times a week. Also happy to have the 9:30 class at the Pavillion during the summer. Everyone at the Y seems happy. The staff members greed us with a smile. The staff seem to enjoy their jobs.
This YMCA is one of the finest facilities I’ve ever been to. The only comparison to this Y of Lifetime Fitness. Top notch!
The Facility itself is more than just A GYM, in my view it’s like a lab; there’s really no limit to what you can achieve at a professional-level_ Whether it’s readying yourself for a triathlon or maintaining your physique, there’s enough for the professional or amateur athlete to indulge, never having to feel interrupted because there’s not enough gear to work with or space to move around. I love GYMS but more than just being in a gym I need space, over my head, room to run, and places to for stillness; the Y has all of these without ever having to leave the facility. I’m GRATEFUL for and to the staff for the kindness and courtesy they present, it’s always great seeing people that want to be at their place of work and that never tire in representing their community with the highest values in courtesy and respect for the people and work environment they create!! 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇

I share all of this with good intentions and wanting the best for our Y. Nothing is malicious or meant to degrade… only inform.
These are a few of my favorite things: The staff is mostly friendly. Not all smile, but they are working, so I get it. The equipment seems to always be in good working order. The bathrooms and locker rooms are always spotless. The dry sauna in the women’s locker room is always hot and waiting for me! The upstairs track is awesome: bright, cheery, and obstacle free. I enjoy the 24/7 room a lot and appreciate the more intimate size room (compared to the upstairs weight area). The parking is wonderful.
What I don’t like: the steam sauna is often not working correctly. The towels are gone, (COVID, I get it), but I miss them. The women’s showers are smelly, clean, but smelly. The women’s locker room soap dispensers and faucets are a guessing game. Sometimes they work, so don’t sometimes they don’t. It’s frustrating.
Huge gratitude to the very nice staff members that do smile! They make my day. A very nice woman, took pity on me when I told her I had forgotten my water bottle, (and the machine was empty!). She gave me a bottle of water and totally saved me.

They help the community
It is a great place to work out and see friends. But it is much more than a gym. It is a great supporter of the community and provides services that benefit those in need in our town.
The friendly atmosphere, staff, how clean the building is kept inside & outside & all the exercise machines you have to work with. The people who use the YMCA are great people & have become friends with many. Keep up the good work.
The workout machines, stretch bars, weights, 1/8 track, steam room, racquetball ball courts, pickleball, volunteering, access to locker room. The staff and befriending those I’d not befriend if I’d not become a Family Y member. I work out 5-6x’s/week. My home away from home. I love it!
I’m very happy with my Dow YMCA. The only thing that I’m unhappy with is the 1 and 4 new share the lane policy. I would like it to go back to non sharing lanes. Lanes are empty for hours.

Friendly and clean!
Easy access from home, welcoming staff. Lots of different classes although I don't take most of them because the music is too loud for me. Other members are friendly.
