Both of my children have been attending Mathnasium Shelby for approximately 8 years!!
They love math and weren’t challenged much in school, and it was one of our very best decisions ever!!
Fast forward 8 years and my daughter is 13 years old, in 7th grade, and rocking a solid A in her accelerated math program at middle school school. She is also persistently in the 99th percentile in every math NWEA test she has ever taken!!
Fast Forward 8 years for my son who is 14 and in 9th grade at the International Academy of Macomb. He is also rocking a solid A in math, but it’s in advanced calculus, which is actually a placement 2 years ahead of all his advanced math peers.
We have always loved the instructors here, as well as the manager Andrea!! We will forever be Mathnasium for sharing the love of math with my kids and helping them to be mathematically successful!!!
I enrolled my son approximately 1 month ago and have already noticed a big improvement in his math grades at school. Definitely made the right decision signing him up at Mathnasium.

Our then 3rd grader was struggling about this time last year with all the hurdles of the year prior and we wanted to get him the help he needed to get back to where he should be. We are beyond thrilled now with his test results both in class and NWEA scores. He has closed any previous gaps. He went for an entire year! Now, he doesn't love math, but because he no longer struggles with his current curriculum , he complains less! For a 10 year old, that works for us.
They work with you and are flexible. My daughter was at another tutor and really likes here better. She is more excited by math and they help with her homework questions

We signed our then 3rd grader (Now 4th grader) up due to some of the gaps with learning at the time (COVID and schooling from home related) because his NWEA scores and class grades had been effected. He has essentially closed the gaps in his time here. He is now at 95th percentile for NWEA scores and his class grades are improving. We will surely use Mathnasium as a resource in the future.

So far my daughter has really enjoyed each session. It’s a little premature to see her progress as we have only been attending for a month. As of now she gets her homework done and says she has fun and that is what learning should be about.

After 6 months of Mathnasium and some acknowledged gaps after a rough 3rd grade year, our 4th Grader is 95th percentile on NWEA testing and showed no summer slide!! The progress has been amazing!

I want to praise Andrea, Laura, and the entire team at Mathnasium Shelby Lakeside. My two sons love coming to Mathnasium. Everyone is friendly, great instructors, and a great atmosphere to learn Math. 10 out of 10! I would highly recommend to anyone!!!
The Math instruction was fun and productive. Definitely will be back in the summer to help with summer slide and clear up anything that wasn’t mastered throughout the school year.

Math has always been very challenging for my 7th grade daughter and because it’s harder for her to grasp math she hated it. Learning virtually on and off for almost 2 years because of the pandemic did not help her at all and set her back even more. In the beginning of her 7th grade year we could tell she was just lost and knew she needed outside help. We heard about Mathnesium and went for the evaluation. We learned she was very behind and scored low on almost everything. Mind you we didn’t know she was that low because she got B’s and C’s on her report cards. Never a failing grade. When we saw her low scores we signed her up. Let me tell you I was skeptical in the beginning but I am not anymore. Her grades are improving and her self confidence in math are too! She even comes home and says “Mom this is what I learned today at Mathnesium” This is a girl that her first day at Mathnesium she literally cried because she did not want to go. Now she doesn’t mind going and is learning things that she never learned before. So needless to say I recommend Mathnesium wholeheartedly. It may cost a lot but it’s SO worth it seeing more self confidence and improvement in your child’s grades.
