You don't have to buy a minimum amount and the price is fair, service is great.
I had a small order for a simple circular piece of steel, and they were happy to make this for me. They asked very detailed questions for the order to ensure it was done correctly, and they helped me choose the right type of steel for my purposes. Order was done quickly and pick-up was easy.

Very knowledgeable and fast
Good inventory, fast filling of orders, helpful staff...
1. Responses to my requests for a quote were prompt.
2. What I needed was in-stock and available almost immediately.
3. Service in-store was attentive to my needs.
4. I like the little "pick it out yourself" room.
5. The location is about midway between where I work and home.
6. I improvise small projects a lot, sometimes requiring metal components. For a previous project, I purchased stock metal items in aluminum and steel from Amazon at an elevated "convenience" price. Now, Metal Supermarkets will be the first place I shop. It's faster, I can choose from a wider dimensional spectrum, and get that cut to a custom length in just the small quantity I need for a single prototype.
