I enjoyed the laid back vibe of the shop itself. I really appreciated my haircut with Essence. She was a delight to interact with and gave me a great cut! She and another barber also answered some questions I had, which set my hair care journey on the right path!

Everyone I’ve interacted with at Floyd’s Barbershop has been friendly, polite and professional. I am greeted when I arrive, am given an approximate waiting time (it’s always less than the estimate) and am placed with a capable stylist. Every stylist consults with me about my preferences and does their best to fulfill my expectations. And I’m female - I didn’t see myself originally getting a haircut in a barbers shop. But it definitely works.

Veronica did a fantastic job (as always), especially considering the fact that I was going to have surgery the next day and I didn’t want the surgeons to be thinking I looked like a total mess…outside of the mess I already looked like. 🤣 I don’t even know how long I’ve been seeing Veronica as my hairstylist exclusively, because before her I would always have to worry if they were gonna F it up or I’d have to explain what I need, which considering I’m not what I define as a “hair gay”, has always been a challenge for me. I basically only know that they use scissors, clippers, and that my haircut is super stereotypical and simple. Please take a moment and go visit this location of Floyd’s 99, because I can assure you that all of the employees hold themselves to that standard of work, but Veronica most of all, since I’ve had the most first hand experience with her.
Melissa is amazing! She has been doing my color (from brunette to platinum blonde) consistently for the last two years. She is professional, engaging, and even my husband is always talking about how great my hair turns out. I highly recommend her for color!
