You have reasonable stock, will cut to size, and are local. Prices can be a bit steep, but I'm paying for convenience. The bargain bins are occasionally excellent value too.
A big plus is you still have people answering the phone, which is ESSENTIAL. The day you force me "online only" is the day I go somewhere else. Don't misunderstand, online ordering is sometimes great, see Amazon, but when it is the ONLY option it costs customers. Something non standard that can be resolved with a phone call in thirty seconds, is a Kafkaesque hellscape trying to resolve online.
As an example: self checkout is great if you're picking up one or two things, but when you have a full grocery cart it's a royal PITA.
