The staff and culture make this YMCA worth the visit
Great equipment, atmosphere and polite respect from all the other members.
I absolutely loved body pump class at 6am with Jim. He was really kind and encouraging and he learned everyone's names and a little bit about each of us. He really fostered a sense of belonging and he made me want to come to the gym!
Everything but I'm very heartbroken that your whirlpool is not available for the women anymore.

The people that gather, variety and support of equipment and staff
I have noticed that consistently and slowly, equipment acquired slowly over the years is going away... we have 6 pilates rollers, 6 bosu, one rack of large balls, 9 pound bars, one pound weights etc... meaning, should we are able tp have an instructor able to lead a class ( like a Lourie class or even to add at end of current class if the scheduled time allows ) we no longer have the equipment needed for a class. I took alot of time and resources to get this so we had for classes. I am seeing the equipment go.
I realize everything has changed as we reboot from covid. I just feel this is not a positive. I don't think it is only me. I am not wanting to be an istructor ( again) but if I did, only 5 people could attend. Maybe it is just the end but if not, the equipment is missing...lots of equipment
