I am very happy at the Ransburg Y! I enjoy a self-guided experience, working out on my own in the wellness center as well as the pool. I am far along in my recovery from a total knee replacement surgery, and my hard work at the Y before and after surgery has been a major part of being way ahead of schedule. Thank you for that. Also, I just turned 68, and I feel better than I have in years!
Good variety of programs and activities for all ages
variety - flexible times open - diversity

Nothing
It's not about the programs and activities.
It's about the people.
There are a variety of activities/programs to enable you to be proactive about one’s health. You also meet different people and the interaction is very healthy. The YMCA is inclusive.
They help my grandkids in the program that they are in like basketball track soccer baseball stuff like that, which is good for the kids growing up you know so they know how to relate to other kids and stuff
Variety. Availability.
Great
I appreciated the tour and in person explaination of programs and activities. The website linking all sites was frustrating and confusing plus I never got the answers to the questions I had. I have decided an inperson visit is what I will continue to do for any site I want information from.
They have craft time for the kids and they take them outside to play frequently to burn energy.
Distracting with the pickleball players on the court when I am trying to walk around the inside.
Not because they don't deserve to be there, but I have to be on constant lookout to ensure I am not hit by the ball.
I enjoy the flexibility and amount of activities our entire family can participate in
Great program and activities
EVERYTHING
I am doing the water exercise classes and I love them. Carol is amazing as the instructor to the deep end water aerobics class as well as the water yoga class. Due to having connective tissue disease that affects my mobility, the water classes are perfect for me. In the past I also had a personal trainer (Kat), and she was absolutely my most favorite trainer of all time. Kat went above board to understand my unique restrictions and help me greatly with her motivation. Everyone at the YMCA has made me feel like I am part of a large family.
Lap swimming
Easy access to weight room, and help if needed.
Everyone is so nice and professional and it’s a great Y. It’s kid friendly and the staff are wonderful. I enjoy all of the fitness classes during the week.
the kindness of everyone
Discovered the Silver Sneakers class 3X week by Kent. Absolutely love it. I’m going I now discovered a tai chi and Yoga class. Going to try them as well. I’ve recruited a friend to go and she has joined me for everything.
These in addition to machines with computer bracelet. I’ve started doing those again and loving it all. I plan on adding more as time goes on.
GRATEFUL to have this as my Y!
I just enjoy doing my workout at my own pace. There are plenty of options to help me get as big a workout as I need.
Everything is well put together and the people are so nice.
Open swim hours are pretty slim and need to be expanded.
Equipment variety. The staff and fellow members.
The water classes (yoga, aerobics) are friendly, fun, and wonderful low impact activity for someone with bad knees like me!
The program provides opportunities for kids to build character, positive relationships and develop their skills in a safe environment.
Friendly staff

Ransburg offers a Step class that I cannot get at the Athenaeum Y. I attend it even though I have to drive, which I try to avoid.
