The coaches are understanding and accommodating of the kids who don’t “get it”, or don’t have the focus and discipline to stick to it through the duration of the activity.

I have only used the lap pool here and the hours are far superior to Avon Y which is equivalent distance for me. Further the ladies locker room at Ortho Indy Y is top notch thanks to Miss Lorraine; she is friendly and highly diligent in her cleaning responsibilities!! I have not seen this level of cleaning at any other YMCA; she is a true gem and should be recognized! Miss Jerri at the front desk is a bright greeting as I enter to begin my workout, thank you for that!
I do hope the air & water issues in the pool can be resolved such that they don’t need to open the back door during the spring / summer mowing season. Today’s swim was combined w/ mower fumes and the lovely yet highly irritating grass/pollen allergens wafting in the back door right to the lap lanes. This is most irritating during the mowing season and not an issue in the winter.

Good workout facilities and pool. Staff is always helpful.
They greet you when you come in the door to check in. They have a lot of programs for the whole family to enjoy together or alone. Also the early morning opening so that o can workout before I go to work.
Ease of access to equipment. I.e. not too busy in hours that I visit.
