Large variety of programs and good instructors
Everyone is so friendly and helpful to me as a new member.
Water aerobics is what I most enjoy due to back surgery. Lately on Monday evening 6:30 and Wednesday evening 6:30 water aerobics class has become stagnant. The routine has remained the same and she does not switch up the workout. I come to the YMCA at least 3 to 4 times a week I should not know the water routine by heart. All the others teachers change routines on a regular basis so you are getting the most out of class. Several members have complained but she goes right back to doing the same thing
My Kids loves going here , it’s a great environment!

I like it gym.
The programs are designed for the senior citizens. Also, the programs and their schedules work very well for me. I like the fellowship among everyone in the classes, and the instructors are excellent!
I like the variety of classes available. I’ve done both instructor led and virtual. It’s great to also be able to go to all the different locations. The app is handy and very useful to find classes.
Convenient and the instructors are knowledgeable and friendly.
The instructors are friendly and competent. They make the classes fun. The facility is clean and has all one needs to have a good workout. Finally, the staff and members are friendly and make my time at the Y enjoyable.

Lap swims
Due to spine surgery I must use a ladder or steps to enter or exit a pool. A traditional lap pool with 6 lanes and access on both sides is a better design. Having said that, I believe your children’s area is wonderful for young children and families. It’s too bad it wasn’t built as a separate unit from the pool which has a lot of aqua class users and lap swimmers. I think people just underestimated the use the Y would receive.
Don’t have kids who participate but the Y seems to have a lot of programs for teens.
Like the layout of the workout areas and the track.
Good variety of classes BUT APP should tell you which classes have a Fee (not referring to Y+Studio Required), example Jordan Stretch Thur 10:35, when I got there they said there was an extra charge but at OrthoIndy the class is free. The app filter should at the minimum allow you to select multiple Branches even better if user can ALSO select multiple Categories. In the App, when you find a class and you click on the name of the class to see the detailed description, when going back your filters are lost instead it defaults back to your home gym which may or may not be what I want so display results based on my filters. Even better if I could SAVE my filters to my profile. In the app there should be a better way to find descriptions of each class. The intensity of each class should also be noted or possible note geared to xx age range.
Staff is very friendly. Pool has been much more consistent with openings and lifeguards showing up early in the morning.
That there is a variety of programs
Variety, hours of operation, staff
Always a lot f staff on duty
The staff has kept us updated on any changes throughout.

I just love the walking track. I haven’t taken advantage of anything else yet. I like the fact it’s close to home and everyone I’ve talked to is so friendly.
