I like the pool and water exercise classes. It allows me to exercise year round. I also like the yoga and exercise classes for older adults.

Friends we make at the Y at 5am
I really enjoy the fitness equipment. I've not attended any classes just yet.
We like the variety of classes and access to the personal trainers. The equipment is good but needs more user friendly labeling and instructions so it is accessible to all. Class teachers are all good and we enjoy the variety of teaching styles. We just wish there were more real beginners line dancing classes. The classes are excellent but are too advanced for our level.
Just starting to learn about programs and activities. Tai chi sounds interesting.
I really enjoy chair yoga twice a week. It helps with my arthritis and my mental health. The people are so sweet to me and I love them back.

With my arthritis, I really appreciate the arthritis classes in the water. That is the best for my joints.
1. Charles R with Line dance class shows up energetic and excited to teach people the line dances. I was able to be a part of the Thruller performance he put on at Halloween last year and SO MUCH of his personal time goes into that performance. I think Franz Ross YMCA is lucky to have a teacher with his Dance and Performance work career history.
2. Tami Daniels teaches my Bodypump class and she is always invested in the class using proper posture on the moves. Even though most are "regulars" ,Tami reminds us at each class the safe way to do the exercises. Tami also took over a Yoga class for another instructor and fills in for other BP instructors. My thinking is she is quiet and her good deeds may go unnoticed- I hope YMCA recognizes her commitment to her classes.
Jackie with Belly dance class- she is so positive and welcoming to every shape, age, person. She has a special niche at the YMCA
4. I would encourage every instructor take at least one session of every class offered. Then the instructors can support each other and have a better understanding of what a fabulous ymca we have !
